I think it can already do that anyway. If not now, then with a post-release firmware update.

I don't understand why you would spend so much money to make calls and send texts, which my Nokia from 9 years ago is already perfectly capable of doing. And if you think that playing games is an excuse, Angry Birds is barely a game as it is.

It's a formula that makes them money. What would you do if you were making hundreds of millions off one franchise? Take a huge risk that would send the franchise plummeting to its death? Or stick with what fans are familiar with?
