Hi

Well..Auto Assault closes down for good August 31.....It was a good idea but the implementation wasn't all that great..I tried the free trial but for me one major problem was control of your auto.....Maybe next time..at least they tried something different.

ttomm1946

Yup. Agree with your reasons for it being sad that it's gone but I guess that's not enough in the cold world of business :(

It wasn't to my liking but at least they didn't follow the crowd...

My first online game was Quake and Quakeworld :)

First MMORPG was Earth and Beyond. I really liked that you could get out of your ships and mingle with other pilots, just a shame theat they killed it...:(

Have you tried The Day Of The Tentacle??? lolWhermacht02

Good point hehe :)

Time travel would be cool but I guess it's a matter of gameworld assets, having maps and mobs all different forvarious eras would make for a complex and huge game (disc wise). Imagine what you could do with the Doctor Who license and then imagine what it would take to make it work!

2d or 3d doesn't really bother me, mostly because gameplay matters a lot more than graphics to me.

therealapowers

Tbh it's been a mixed bag for both styles on PSP but I think 2D has the edge atm. 3D is coming of age tho. Key of heaven showed it coul dbe done...now it just needs to be done well and voila sweet RPG :)

I looked up final fantasy 8 on the playstation 3 website to see if it was backwards compatible. It says that 40-60% of the screen is going to be black during combat. Have they fixed this? I was looking forward to playing it on my PS3 (im getting it july 4th) but if 60% of the screens going to be black I won't even bother. Sad that I already spent 730$ on the console and it can't even play a ps1 game properly.luggymeister

It doesn't look that great upscaled but it works okeeee here :)

who here is starting to miss the MYST Series?s3ank1ms

Ya I liked the MYST series but you'll probably get as many people h8ing it as likes it. I recently bough a box set with all of them in :)

Hope they bring out a new one at some point but I guess they're concentrating on the online version at the moment...

Sorry if this is OLD but I went on there last night and we've got

Calling all cars

Wipeout

Crash Bandicoot

Rampage WorldTour

and some other tosh (videos)etc...

Now if we had this much content every week (plus HD film rentals) I'll sell the 360 (I promise!)

From the incredibly short amount of time I played iirc there are a few different ways of making money. On involves literally sucking the sweat off of mobs, one is killin them and selling their bits, thens there's crafting etc... all can be sold for peds (is that the right currency? I forget sry) and then truned back into cash.

Hope I got that right!

But enough about me, what are your guys' more violent gaming moments (PC and console)?mrbojangles25

UR one sick puppy ;) hehe.

One of my fav violent game moments was playing the first DOOM game. Chain sawing wave after wave of hellish critters was immensely satisfying nd a great way to unwind as it happens! Then there's using the lawnmower or seed drill / post drill (not sure what it is tbh!) in Dead Rising - Mowing zombies into tiny pieces, using their torso as a weapon and their arms and legs as blades...

Alsothere's the first time I got a beheadingin Tenchu (the original not the crappy sequels). They toned this down for us poor UK peeps by making itlesslikely to happen(we really do need protecting u see). I thought I was seeing things and thankfully they protected my porr little mind in the sequels by using motion blur to cover up silent kill moves :( I was gutted - well teh nme were I was merely diappointed. Naturally this has affected my ability to lay down the Ninja kick ass ever since...

There's alsonumerous games with chainsaws, flame throwers and screaming...And of course who can forget playing Soldier of Fortune to blow body parts off (no other reason to play that game or it's sequel as far as I could tell...) or Postal 2...orSniping dudes in numerous games for that lovely "Brain Art" shot - you know the one I mean :)

But, following this and the numerous simulators I've also played in which killing is the main theme - albeit in the name of peace /freedom / anti terrorism etc - none of them were banned.

Oh and I didn't turn into a mass murderer or serial killer.

I've noidea what Manhunt 2 is really like but I think, to some degree,Rockstar have dug this hole themselves. The hot coffee problem has not been forgotten (it was embarrasing for not only Rockstar / take two / but also for the variosu international ratings boards who ende dup looking stupidand I personally feel that they are gonna find it hard to get their games out now - regardless of what the game is like they are now being targetted by ratings boards.

Let's wait and see what happens when GTA4 hits the ratings boards table...
