can anyone spot the Huge Plane in the Forza version?
both times it didn't pop up, where as GT5 it is plain to see. :|

"Best of E3" awards are starting to show up now. From what I can tell FM4 pretty much swept the "Best Racing Game" category accross the board. That was to be expected but here's a few links I thought were interesting.

"Best Looker of the Show
When we caught a glimpse at Forza 4's "in-game" visuals at Microsoft's press conference at the beginning of the week, we honestly couldn't believe our eyes. Really. So much so that we scoffed at one another, remarking that there was no way that those visuals were indicative of the in-game quality. Turns out we're super cynical and when we caught a glimpse of the game behind-closed-doors and at Microsoft's Forza 4 event on Wednesday evening, we were left eating our proverbial hat. How Turn 10 has been able to create the best visuals on the Xbox 360 in not just any car game to date, but any game to date, still remains a mystery, but with its new image based lighting, meaning all aspects of the world affect how the car looks – from artificial light to the sun and clouds in the sky – and being able to see intricate details of the motors from a mere 6 inches away, well, to us, it's completely astonishing. Turn 10 set the standard and wowed punters a few years back with Forza 3's visuals and Forza 4 is set to knock your bloody socks off, so you may as well take them off now and get comfy.
Winner – Forza Motorsport 4"

I hope they're right :O
how can anyone take that serious?

Forza 3's set the standard and wowed punters? waaat?
Forza 3 ran smooth as silk, but visually even Forza fans were giving Turn 10 the benefit of the doubt stating it was still using the Forza Xbox 1 engine.
oh...just realized who wrote the article...well achievement unlocked indeed, by that writer.

Is this only for the PC version?
Phoenix534
Yes. The consoles don't have anything like quite like Sixense tech to take advantage of the new levels.
um, isn't the eventual output similar to the PS3 Move? similar to the PS3 Move game TUMBLE which requires you to move objects in 3D Space?
who are the "some gamers" who complained about the PS3 version to the DICE dev?
from the article linked, it seems like some other fanboy was complaining about "PS3 owners *complaining* about the footage".
I don't think many were disappointed, especially after watching the HD footage of the stage demo.
I think some random fanboy was stealth trolling with that tweet, and it worked.
"dont u love how PS3 fluffers dont really understand game design?I love their comments on the ps3 footage thinking it can be = pc"
I mean "PS3 fluffers"? Don't know why the DICE dev responed to that tweet.
Battlefield 3 is using MLAA for both the 360 and PS3.
LoserMike
that's not true...so far only the PS3 version is confirmed to use MLAA and other effects. I haven't read anything about the 360 version using MLAA.
In my opinion,Crysis 2 on the consoles looks better than KZ3,but that´s just the way I see it. Don´t know about Gears 3,but it´s looking good so far.
Arach666
Crysis 2 is SubHD, texture popins, AA issues, etc.....not saying it is not amazing...but they had to sacrifice to get it to look like it did on the 360/PS3.
these are also multiplayer maps....how does Crysis 2 look in multiplayer?
I think by this game's release date, the PS3 will be $199...heck there might even be promotions advertising this, with this game. So you have a $200 system that puts out similar looking visuals...and pretty good visuals when compared to other console games (plus it has advanced destruction) and well, that is a pretty good deal for most gamers.
what's real differentiating factor here is the 64player count compared to 24 on consoles. After awhile you get used to the graphics...but gameplay wise, this will probably be the biggest advantage in the long haul.
As far as tonight's PS3 footage, I think it looks GREAT.....buildings seem to be different, but the feel is still there...so I'm ok with that sacrifice. I'm just glad they were not holding back the PC version too much, because of us Console gamers.
um...

I think they are fine......Microsoft on the other hand :|
HALO fans act like this never existed before Halo 1.
this came out in 1998. You can't tell me Tribes didn't influence Halo in some way.
In fact, I enjoyed Tribes AA for the PS2 more so than Halo 1.....Online gameplay wise.
about damn time we got our sequal.
