Whats with all these idiot Hermits making us PC gamers look stupid, why the **** would we care about a piece of **** 300 dollar PC that is made out of ass end parts, why is it a problem that our rugs are more expensive than consoles, we should be proud that they are, duuurrr more money spent more performance better experience. Why even take the time to come up with this pile of **** you call a console beating PC. Couldn't even run Kameo.

Shockingly enough. Most PC gamers buy their games. I'm just saying. Piracy is no where near as big of an issue for developers and publishers as the used game trade.

THis again really? Last time I checked used games weren't part of the PC market and even if they were the used copy a consumer would be buying was already bought and paid for by the previous consumer, so the dev and publisher already got their money for that disc, copy, etc. Saying used games hurt the game industry is like saying by letting my friend borrow my book, or lending a cup of sugar to somebody is "ruining those respective industries" is just plain stupid. Piracy is a problem because the dev and publisher don't get any revenue from it, whereas the used games market, people by copies that come from original sales. Publishers just wan't to control that market and wan't to squeeze ever last ounce of revenue out every game, and soon they will realise that used games aren't the problem, its them. Does the library hurt the book and printing industry?? **** no, you know why? Becasue those books were originally purchased by the goverment/library/ or purchased by consumers for donations. People are ****ing stupid and love to bend over for gay time for these companies.
No it isn't. Let's say you go to a dealership to buy a new 2011 Toyota. How many used ones do you think they will have on the lot? Used cars aren't traded in a month after purchase or even a year. Used Toyotas are sold well beyond the cease of manufacturing new ones.[QUOTE="AiurProtoss"]
complaining about used games is like toyota complaining about used car sales, utterly stupid as **** Its capitalism, publishers are just butthurt that they can't control the market and are greedy enough that they would try to get rid of your consumer rights.

Used games are sold weeks after a game is released and when new games are still being produced.
yeah but in order for a used game to be used someone had to have bought it before it was deemed "used", so the publisher and devs got their money for a new copy already. Should we not buy video games for presents anymore because one person bought it and is essentially giving it away to someone who isn't paying for it? MINDS=BLOWN!!!!

All of these online passes are driving me away from the console market. I've been saving up for a gaming pc, and I'm planning on staying with it. Mainly because of the direction of DLC and Online Passes. I don't like to be taken advantage of and dealing with Steam and their sales actually gives me appropriate value for my money. Anyways, it will be interesting if the rumors about the new xbox blocking used games are true. If it is I predict that it will be the last generation of xbox. Due to consumer backlash and every hacker on the planet having a field day on it.

I find your point rather amusing.. Seeing as there is no use game market for the PC at all, yet the reason your moving away from console is because they are trying to snap down on the used game industry..
That is true but generally the sales on steam and similar services make up for the fact that you can't buy used on PC, also the number of quality free to play titles are well...free. Most PC developers aren't going to cut up their games content to shreds and sell it for a higher profit either aka like Epic did with Gears 2 and 3, Volition did with Saints row the third etc. Having a PC for next gen is going to be a must if you want to save money on games and services, and want to play hardcore titles. I think the PC platform is going to become all the more convenient for enthisiats and average consumers alike. Look at smartphones, its an all in one device that average consumers are drawn to. If developers can make games that run really well on laptops and lighter powered PC's all the better for the general PC market.
Cry more.
Learn to manage your f*cking development costs if games are so damn expensive. Or maybe you could sell what are clearly budget games for a lower price. :o
Shocking, I know.
And if used games bother you so much, go after GameStop. Don't shaft the consumer who's just taking advantage of a good deal.
This is an expensive hobby. Most games aren't woth $60. People want to save money. Get used to it.

You good sir deserve applause. *Citizen Kane clap*
Reckoning was the most generic piece of **** fantasy game I have ever played, nothing but typical and bad fantasy tropes overused. The game lacks substance, and it lacks identity. It tries to be a jack of all trades by including elements from other popular RPGs but a jack of all trades is a master of none. Demo was awful and boring. People are either trolling or delusional.
