Seriously this game is amazing to me, but the music that plays in some of the cut scenes (I think you guys know the one I'm talking about, it has the lyrics and stuff) is just some of the most annoying and dumb crap I've ever heard. What do you guys think? It's the one that's played at the main menu if you don't know what I'm talking about.

What, even the one played at the main menu? Dude seriously what made you buy ff13? I don`t know what other musics you dislike, but the piano melody in main menu is typical FF and btw it`s a nice melody. And what comes to music in the game in general, I think it`s great and fits the series.

I had some hard time with him too, toughest opponent so far.

Start the battle with a) light MEDIC hope Synergist, then after he does his first attacks b) MEDIC MEDIC and instantly after you have healed c) RAVAGER RAVAGER. Keep repeating b) and c)

I`ve played for about 7 hours.

At first it crossed my mind that it would be cool to have an option to control all the characters, but then on the 2nd hand the combat is fast paced and when you actively change the paradigms you still have the control over your party and decide the way they battle. And AI does it`s job atleast as efficiently as I myself would, so I like it the way it is.

In my opinion it works really great, altough it`s different than before and if you take the prejudicive approach and decide it`s bs then it naturally affects the way you experience the whole game. So far I think the game lives up to it´s name.

And about the lack of exploration, I also tought about it and what it actually means to let it go.. In the end it`s all just walking from point A to B, whether it`s would be in the large area or a path. It`s the presentation that makes the big difference, the feel you get from moving to different environments and how everything fits the plot. I think the gaming community is over reacting to this aspect in the game.

I`ve played for around 6 hours since I got it yesterday, and so far I absolutely recommend it to anyone even concidering it.

First of all the linearity what has been talked about a lot: You don`t get the feel of linearity altough the way you proceed is linear, and this is not a bad thing at all seriously. It serves the plot well and simply it just works out that way, try it yourself and forget the critics.

And seriously how can somebody badmouth Vanille, she`s friggin hot (unless u`r a girl ofc)! Haven`t you guys learned that woman characters have the right to be annoying if they are cute and sexy? And lol yeah yeah it`s a video game but still I would do her anytime and because of that she can sound as stupid as she wants rofl.

Battle system rocks, and things get harder altough in the beginning you can just bash X and win battles. There has been harder battles where I havefailedmany times even during the 1st 6 hours. Graphics are superb, plot is intresting so far. Kept me playing for 6 hours straigh since I unpacked it.

Unless game gets lame all of the sudden, I can`t understand all the critizism. *10 so far.

It`s a shame to see how a couple of mediocore reviews give birth to such a prejudiceon the game.

I mean,it will be released tomorrow and lots of people are already talking like they would had played it?Now don`t get me wrong, I couldn`tcare less about what other people think about FF13. But it would truly be a shame if people who were intending to buy it, choose not to do so because spotting such words to be repeating in discussions around the game like "linear", "boring" etc, before it`s even released.

I also liked FF6 the best! I think I have finished it 2 times till the end and began it couple of times during the past 5 years without going far.

Storyline and overall atmoshpere, and everything revolving around characters and espers was splendid. And in it`s time the graphics were also great, seems fun to say it now tough. :) I would love to see a remake of it too, definitely. Square should just copy the plot and remake it.. :P But about remaking FF7 they said that it would take too many years to finish.

How can anyone with half a brain rate this game below an 8.5, you may say that because I haven't played this game I don't know what I'm talking about but look at the facts. This game has gotten lower than King Kong, Tony Hawk's Project 8 and Banjo Kazooie! Just because it doesn't follow the path of the other Final Fantasys doesn't give revewrs the right to give it a 5/10 (team xbox). It may be linear but there is no way that this game is worse than Marvel" Ultimate Alliance even if the standards have been raised since then. If anyone else feels strongly abotu this voice your opinion.

First of all, reviews are opinions. If you like the game, why would you care about some other guys opinion about it? Enjoy the game, I believe it`s to be a great game and can`t wait for it`s release(2 days omfg lalalalala). There was also a lot of discussion about Xbox 360 version being graphically lower compared to Ps3 but as I watched hd comparison videos I can see no difference.. But yeah well that was off topic. :)

But then in the second hand, if somebody gives it 5/10 there is something wrong with the reviewers approach. Just the pure fact that the graphics are absolutely stunning and detailed would require the whole game to be otherwise absolutely garbage to professionally give it such a bad rating. So I`d call it unprofessional and prejudiced preview. Reviewer was propably annoyed by something in the game and let it go past his professionalism lol.

I`m not going to say anything more about the game itself than graphics because I`m yet to try it out. But even tough it would had been stripped for the "traditional freedom", or whatever they want to call it, if it`s presented well enough and there is still plenty of stuff in the game that makes it a Final Fantasy living up to it`s title, then it`s not necessarily such a let down as you might think.

Think about past Final Fantasy games, there is a plot which you follow till the end and some mini quest in the way. I readed one preview critizing the monster-grinding. Well, what has it been before? Hasn`t there always been a lot of monster fights?

I`m not going to defend the game more before I get my hands on it. Just saying that if you see a bad review about a game you`re waiting for remember that it is only someone`s opinion.

First of all LOL overall rating is supposed to be a medium of all the ratings or am I wrong? IGN gave the game overall of 8.3 while all the ratings they gave added together and divided by their number makes 9. :D

I have preordered the game and can`t wait to get my hands on it. I was a bit concerned about the said differences between ps3 and xbox but after watching hd comparison videos etc I`ve come to the conclusion that they have the same graphics.

As a big fan of FF series I`m also concerned about reading reviews and posts judging the game to be shallow in its gameplay and plot. But I hope the game itself will prove those opinions wrong when I get to play it.
