I had the very same problem and tried everything I could think of, messed with drivers etc..

But what made the difference was that when I downloaded speedfan I noticed all of my components were friggin boiling. Both of the processor cores were 65c when I was playing etc. So for the 1st time since I bought my rig (3years), I opened up the case and omg the amount of dust there.. I cleaned it up. On the next attempt both of my processor cores were below 30c. :D LOL.

And Mass Effect 2 never crashed since. End of story.

You are not the only one having these problems, go to bioware forums and check out all the technical support threads. They made a great game but god they should had made sure it works before releasing it.

I have ME2 on PC as well, it works around 10 mins and then it crashes and instantly shuts down my whole computer. Couple of times from my attempts to make it work it has crashed so bad I couldn`t boot my computer on the first try after the incident. Some people have even reported that after ME2 crashing on them they haven`t been able to play any games using directx, and had to remover their GPU from motherboard and reinstall the whole thingon BIOS.

This might be the most terrible release ever.. hope they release a patch to fix it soon.

1) Acquire a piece of jewelry.

4) Give it to her again in order to gain bonus to approval.

5) Repeat steps 3 and 4 until she wants sex.

After you get the dialogue option for sex, you can express your will to do it anytime you feel like it, unless you do something that will decrease her approval. You can avoid this by removing her from your party before engaging into something she would dislike.

6)Sell the piece of jewelry you used.

Ok so there`s really nothing concrete I could do with my current machinery? My wireless modem is brand new, got it like 3 months ago and I`m 100% sure that the modem works well because I never had any issues with it before now it conflicts with xbox adapter..

Btw, xbox live shows the signal to be perfect, when I play online games in Fifa 10 it shows perfect latency. I just don`t get it. I have tried putting off all the possible protections etc I can find in my modem but no help. I hope I kept the receipt.. ffs 70 euros from this junk-device.

You don`t happen to use Thomson modem by any chance? Hehe.. Did you make any adjustments before you got it working or did it just work great after you installed it?

Btw I noticed a comment on some topic, that mentioned that wireless could have bad latency in general compared to cable, making it less enjoyable in games which require really fast response from controlling. Is this any true? I mostly play Fifa 10 and it`s a huge annoyance and sabotages my game when response-speed is delayed even for a tiny bit.

I have tried to configure basically everything there is to configure (believe me, I have spent like 5-10 hours trying to configure my wireless), but it`s just UNPLAYABLE. Using the same modem, compared to ethernet cable, the wireless adds such a drastic delay to controlling when playing online, that I rather have the casual everyday fight with my girlfriend about the cable crossing the living room`s floor than use that cursed wireless adapter in my xbox.

But in means of getting rid of that cable crossing the floor and so getting rid of nagging, please guys help me out. I have browsed through forums here and apparently for many people the adapter works well. I use Thomson modem, my wireless connection is 5mbs and works perfect with my computer. I`ve done everything I can think of there is tobe done. What is your secret in getting it work properly?

Thanks for your help ppl. Actually yesterday when she was out with her friends, things didnt go quite well and when she got home at night, feeling really bad, she apologized for everything, and we had a talk about it. Today things have been ok, I actually played for 3 hours without hearing any negative comments, and she even cooked for me. I hope it`s not just because of the last night tough. I`m taking her out tonight to watch a movie and have a drink in a nice place. :)

And about getting her involved in games, I have tried it but she refuses to touch the pad no matter what. Only game I ever got her to try was Crash Bandicoot, and her intrest lasted for 30min. And it was a long time ago before her nagging was problematic.

I didn`t expect this much help, thank you for your great posts. It may be sad but true that she may not be the most perfect girl for me looking at this topic, actually when I got home from work couple of hours ago and booted my computer as usual, it took like 5 seconds from her to notice it and start nagging. And now she`s going out with her friend and I`m not even invited because I "rather play games". I just don`t understand this, im going to videotape this ***** and create a comedy-show. Well, I`m too tired to go out anyways, and atleast I can relax after working the whole week.

I`m really not going to break up with her, because I love her and besides that we just moved into a new apartment. Maybe I should encourage her to meet her friends a bit more. I just talked with my father on phone and he said that it`s luxury-time for him too everytime my mum is out for the night lol.

I have to come up with suggestions and ideas for her and really make her sit down and listen I quess. I just know beforehand that she`s the type of girl who doesn`t listen, she needs to realize. Maybe I should tell her that everytime she nags about my hobby, I spend the rest of the day silent ignoring her for good. But it would just hurt the relationship, so maybe not.
