Gears 1 does show its age but gears 2 was a vast upgrade and Gears 3 seems even better, Now I am not really talking from a multiplayer standpoint but from the single player. The story has gotten deeper and each character is more personal. if youve played the first 2 games I would highly recommend reading Jacinto's Remnant and Anvil Gate as they are great books and really delve deeper into each character. Gears Universe really has a rich history. Also a plus the Writer who wrote the books is also doing the screen writing/ script for Gears 3. I far too invested into the story and characters to not be excited.[QUOTE="AkimboBFGNinja"][QUOTE="1stPlaceWinner"]true, and after what I've seen at E3 not even Gears is exciting me, besides multiplats and Halo, Gears and Forza there's not much to keep the 360 for.Darth_DuMas
Is the single player buddy AI better in gears 2? Because on hardcore of gears 1, it seems to be dumb as a brick.
HAHAHA yeah the AI is pretty bad in gears 1, the AI is improved more like if a guy gets downed carmine or Dom will go pick the NPC up. There are still issues but it is an improvement. You should definitely pick the game up or at least rent it. There are some crazy things that happen in Gears 2, and that really got me into the universe, especially with the 3 books that bridge the gap between gears 2 and 3. Ive read 2 out of the 3 and they are great. I would highly recommend playing gears 2 for the story. Multiplayer is buggy and has problems i would avoid that. Gears 3 seems like it really has improved the multiplayer by an exponential level when i played the Beta back in May.
