I can't help but think that this thread is a bit silly. Prices reflect the cost of bringing goods/services to the market or how much people are willing to pay.

There's reason that this thread called "unreasonable price"...Would you rather pay for something expensive or something cheap that does the same purpose with same quality?
I'm not sure what your point is. I get the feeling that you are trying to refute my post. The part that i bolded in your post, is kinda the point I'm getting at. In most cases there is a substitute good that performs as good as others at a lower price. So it is silly to complain that say, this brand of jeans is too expensive, when you can get generic jeans at a much lower cost. Often times generic brand stuff is priced due to cost of production. At some point the margins get too small, and producing the good is no longer worth it, if being sold at too low a price.
Nah, I'm not trying to refute your post, just stating the concept of unreasonable price. This is really debatable, not just cost of production even the brand name itself can be a factor of effecting profit margins and the price in the market with a good advertisement, products like these sold at a high price probably because the brand name is just too popular and It becomes a advantage and eventually the price becomes unreasonable if the name's worth keeps increasing. For me I look for quality, not the brand (Maybe cars but I'm fine with the one I'm driving for now.) brand mostly are targeted to materialistic customers.
