Whether this is conincidence or not, I'm not sure, but I got the E74 error, which is to do with the AV port, the first time I ever used an HDMI cable with my xbox after using the component cables for almost two years with no problems. Also one of my flatmate's Xbox was working fine until he tried it with HDMI, a different cable the one I used when mine broke but he got the E74 about 3 days after starting to use HDMI.

Read the walkthroughs for each game

Gamefaq is the place to go

That way you know the ins and outs of the game too, these sites that just tell you the story are crap. They don't prepare you for p-laying the next game in the series

I don't mean that I want to be prepared in terms of actual gameplay, just a vague background knowledge of the back story running up to the game that I'm going to play, so I know who the main characters are etc. because with a story mode driven game, I always enjoy it more if I feel an immersion in the narrative Walkthroughs are good if you playing the game, but for the example of the Resident Evil series, I'm looking for a brief summary of the first four games and the stories of the games, not a detailed 'go through the door on your left and there will be some handgun ammo' style walkthrough guide

So guys i have an external hdd 160gb.. is there anyway i could make a playlist for the xbox? since when i try saving it in the xbox it says i need to rip it but my xbox hdd is only 20gb so i can't really use it for it :( so could there be a way if i make a playlist on the windows media player or something ?

Jonas008
Only way to put music on your xbox hard drive is via ripping CDs, so you'd have to burn your playlist to CD first them rip them onto your Xbox Hard Drive, which is long and tedius. I just use a 4GB memory stick which cost about 6 quid, and can fit a couple of hundred songs on, and use it as a portable device on the Xbox and play the tunes through the media player. You can't transfer them to your Xbox hard drive, but it's a lot easier than making loads of CDs

I hate games like MW2 that just make you more prone to dying at harder difficulties. It's quite a chore. I think a game should have a good balance when it comes to difficulty. It has to be about fun and enjoyment, not chores. I think Assassin's Creed 2 does a good job of this. The game is challenging but not impossible and it offers you a way to enjoy the time you put into it. In most shooters, you feel obligated to go through it on veteran or the hardest mode to "complete" it or to get achievements which I hate.wwervin
Agree completely, haven't come across any recently but games that instead of making the AI more intelligent on harder difficulties, just give them more health or strength, or diminish your health or strength

Wait, why don't you ask your friend?

Wakanoid
Believe me I tried whilst we were playing, but as we'd be through a few cans, I just got jumbled up responses about umbrellas, surgeons and everyone in the game was out to get you. The latter of which, turned out to be quite true

Gametrailers do some good video retrospectives for some of the larger game franchises:

Cheers for the link, the retrospectives are done really well, shame it's only for a few titles, but good none the less

[QUOTE="Avenger1324"]Don't know about Resi, but I can help with the Assassin's Creed summary. CVG explain the ending of Assassin's Creed Obviously contains spoilers - it explains a fair bit of the present day stuff, but ignores most of the individual assassinations since they were more of a means to an end. It does explain about all the stuff you see in the facility after completing the game, which tends to leave most people a bit confused.

Yeah, that was useful as I don't see how anyone could grasp all that information just by playing through the game, and it's refreshed my memory ready to start the sequel. I just thought they're maybe a site dedicated to this kind of thing that I'd missed, as even with such a hugely successful game such as Gears of War, I got the second game before the original but couldn't find an accurate yet concise summary of the first story without reading through whole step by step game walkthroughs.

A few weeks back I started playing RE5 in offline co-op with a mate. Although it was enjoyable, he had played all the previous Resident Evil games, whereas I had no clue what was going on in the overall story, who Jill was etc. So I had a little search on the internet, and couldn't find any good sites that summed up games concisely. It was either a choice of sentences such as 'There is a virus, you kill lots of zombies' or three page essays on each minor character. Does anyone know anywhere that gives an good overview of the story of a game in a few paragraphs, because I'd also want to do it before playing things like Assassin's Creed 2, as I can't remember much of the story of the first either. Cheers, Alexi
