@sargentpsgamer @PosiTVEMinD355 No, any future game shouldn't make a habit of promising the moon and delivering novelty beach ball shaped to look like the moon in its place.

Destiny was over-hyped at the hands of Activision and Bungie, and delivered an experience that many (myself included) felt fell way below the bar they claimed the game would set.

And Hyrule Warriors doesn't deserve any special treatment in the same way that Destiny doesn't deserve any. They're two different games, being reviewed by two different people, who may have entirely different tastes in games. Numerical scores are only relevant to the games that they are given, by the reviewers giving them.

For example, I don't like Destiny and (if I were being asked to try and represent my subjective opinion numerically, which in and of itself is pretty stupid) would probably give it a five. I love Dynasty Warriors 8: Xtreme Legends (and pretty much every Dynasty Warriors game, except for six and the PsP version) and would probably give it a nine.

It's all about perspective. Who knows, maybe Miguel C. thinks Destiny is worth more than a six?

@everson_rm While I can't speak for Kevin personally, I think the reason Destiny scored a six wasn't because it was repetitive. It was because on top of being repetitive (despite the excellent core gunplay), the game also had awful dialogue, awful storytelling and was lacking in content to make up for being so bloody repetitive.

@Monsterkillah A few points:

1. Destiny can score lower than Hyrule Warriors because Destiny was reviewed by a different person who happened to not enjoy what he was playing enough to give it a score higher than 6 (I'd have given it a 4, but hey that's just me).

2. Hyrule Warriors is being developed by Team Ninja in tandem with Omega Force (who developed Dynasty Warriors) and I think a Judge would argue that you can't legally rip yourself off.

3. Grammar is your friend.

4. "most Zelda fans" there are three kinds of lies: lies, damned lies and statistics, and you don't even have statistics to reinforce your "most Zelda fans" claim.

5. Destiny got a 6 out of 10. Boohoo. Get over it and move on. If you like the game it doesn't affect you, and if you're going to take issue with it you have to formulate an actual argument for why you do.

@warriors30 Cool story. As a Dynasty Warriors fan and a Zelda fan, I'll just pretend that Dynasty Warriors 6 and 5 never happened, and as a Zelda fan I'll pretend Skyward Sword and Twilight Princess never happened :P

@drod0756 "Does little to change the Dynasty Warriors formula" does not equate to "can't be enjoyed unless you're a Nintendo fan." I'm a huge Dynasty Warriors fan, have been since DW2 on the Ps2, so as I DW fan I feel I can comfortably say that if Dynasty Warriors doesn't do anything for you, you probably aren't going to enjoy a game built around the DW formula. However, saying that the formula hasn't changed doesn't mean that nothing about the DW series has changed since its conception. Now, I haven't played Hyrule Warriors (obviously) but if it's even remotely like DW8, which introduced a slew of new content, massive overhauls to the combat system, had ambition mode (which was awesome) and has a general sense of fun to it, then I'm probably going to love Hyrule Warriors. It comes down to who's playing the game, and who the game is marketed towards. Hyrule Warriors is clearly marketed towards Nintendo fans, Zelda fans, and Dynasty Warriors fans, so if the guy reviewing the game for Gamespot happens to be any of those three, and the game is also fun to him, of course he's going to factor that in when giving the game a score. This review isn't contradictory of anything. I happen to see that DW8 at its core is still a repetitive game, but I happen to love it (DW8:XE on PC is one of my favorite games this year) so if I were giving it a score, I'd give it a good one, just how Destiny is repetitive as all get out, and I don't love it, and would not give it a good score. It all boils down to opinion.

@Justin_G They kind-of did with Dynasty Warriors 8. I agree that they shouldn't be doling out game after game when only the Dynasty Warriors series has seen any improvement in the last couple of years, but DW8 in particular (speaking as someone who has played every of the numerical DW games, SW 1 & 2, and a few of the Gundam ones) was a huge step in the right direction. Not sure if Gamespot even reviewed 8, but it was a great one.

P.S. Koei doesn't develop Dynasty Warriors, they publish them. Dynasty Warriors is developed by Omega Force, and Omega Force co-developed Hyrule Warriors with Team Ninja, and Koei-Techmo are publishing (alongside Nintendo) Hyrule Warriors.

@jonathan112382 Boo-effing-hoo! Destiny got a 6, get over it. Scores are relative to the games they are given. If Destiny got a perfect 10 it would be no more relevant to this game getting an 8. Take into account that both games were reviewed by two entirely different people and there's even less reason for you to bother bringing Destiny up here. Whether or not you think Destiny is good (I don't personally, I think it's absolute tripe) or not, I feel obligated to warn you that coming to this review to make a "LoL, Destiny are $500 mil game made by Bungie and not get perfect 1 billion score! LoL, Gamespot arest clearerly Byassed" statement is not going to win you many favors.
