Sony does tend to overprice their products a bit, however their products are always of high quality and reliable. Sony said their strategy with PS4 is they don't care about being 1st out the gate, they only care about having the most powerful system with the best games.

This is actually a pretty solid strategy, the PS3 will keep getting constant support like it does now with great 1st party until Sony launches PS4 later then the 720 and Wii U. The PS4 then overshadows the other systems with it's power, being capable of doing games and graphics that no other system can do.

I don't think Sony is going to do a $600 price tag again though, which was the only reason people went with 360 in the first place. I can bet you that if the launch PS3 was around the same price as the 360, the lems would have went with it instead.

People only got a 360 because they couldn't afford a PS3, or their parents couldn't afford one. Most Lems had a PS2 last gen.
