I'm 25 and don't play games as much as I used to. For me it's a combination of lack of time and interest. I haven't even remotely considered trying the current gen. I mostly play on PC anyway but even then I can't fully immerse myself into anything anymore, unless it's literally one game at a time. GTA V would've been the last title I got really into. I even bought an Xbox 360 just to play it!
It's work and lots of monthly bills that keep me from staying interested. Don't have time, don't have money. Heck, even last night was the first time in months since I last visited the forums here!!! Trying to come back.
Well, I'm trying to play the damn game but Ubisoft's Uplay won't let me sign in (on PC)... and before that I had Cloud sync issues when I first played the game so there was no point going too far. I also noticed some visual issues. Aiden's body would often be see-through. You could see ground textures right through him as if he's partially invisible. I'm sure they'll fix all this but at the moment I'm not playing it at all. I have no idea what the console versions are like.
Thanks for all the replies and suggestions. I hope you're not all disappointed with the following, but I picked up a 4GB Xbox 360 for $149.99 yesterday. I had a spare 32GB USB stick kicking around that I'm currently using as storage. So far so good. Worst case scenario (space wise), I have an external HDD I can format and use.
I'm planning on buying a console relatively soon because I really want to play Grand Theft Auto V. No, I do not want to wait 6 - 8 months to have it ported to PC, so I was thinking of picking up a PlayStation 3 again. Now, what exactly is the point of a console with 12GB of internal memory? Aren't there mandatory installs with certain games? I already know I won't be storing any music, photos or videos on the system. I'd like a console purely for games (Grand Theft Auto V won't be the only game I'll get, of course). Can I play whatever amount of games on a 12GB PlayStation 3? The $199.99 pricetag sure is attractive, but I want to be sure I won't run into troubles.
Edit: Xbox 360 has a 4GB model for $149.99 (limited time price). What the hell can you do with 4GB, even if it's just gaming?
