[QUOTE="McA713"]I grew up on the SNES, playing games like Super Mario Kart and Super Mario World. Who thinks I should go back in time and buy one to play some classics on? Or has my mind been jaded by pretending I'm 4 years old again?

If these were the only 2 games you wanted and you have a Wii; I would go that route. However, you really should get a SNES too as it's one of the best systems of all time. They're easy to find and cheap. Some games can be expensive, but only the games that didn't sell many copies like Castlevania: Dracula X and Final Fight 3.

We've always had those great game creators that seem timeless like Capcom, Konami, Nintendo, Square-Enix, and Namco. Rare was once one of those guys.If anyone saw what this company did for Nintendo's systems in the 90s, it would seem like a no-brainer to get this company. Aside from Nintendo made games, Rare games were the best on the Nintendo 64. It seemed like Microsoft was doing the right thing in 2002, but in the end, it seems like it actually helped Nintendo more.

It's too bad Nintendo did away with the Super Nintendo CD in the early 90s. Sony and Nintendo would be a great combination- I think.

I still wouldn't want Apple to buyout Sony. With all the rumors of a Sony takeover, It might be interesting since Apple is currently doing better (financially) than Microsoft. It seems like it would only make the Playstation 3 more of a threat to Microsoft which wouldn't make XBOX 360 fanboys too happy. I have the following Castlevania games: Castlevania I-III, Super Castlevania IV, Castlevania: Bloodlines, Castlevania: Dracula X (Wii), Castlevania: SotN, Castlevania 64, Castlevania: LoD, Castlevania CotM,Castlevania HoD, Castlevania AoS, Castlevania LoI, Castlevania CoD, Castlevania DoS, Castlevania DoS, Castlevania PoR, Castlevania OoE, and Castlevania LoS.

I like them all, but I find Dracula X to be the most painful one to play. It has great sound/ graphics and I'm glad I was finally able to get it on the Wii, but it seems to be so hard to play that it makes the old NES games seem very easy. The enemies seem to have far more of an advantage. Genesis' Bloodlines had this same type play control, but I can actually make it through all of the levels with ease.

As far as the new Castlevania LoS goes, it's fun to play and watch, however, I wished they would have continued the LoI format.

I own both games. Any Castlevania fan should check these games out. These games don't copy Castlevania in any way, but they that same feeling (awesome classical music and some creepy looking enemies/ bosses). The first game was pretty fair, and then they had to make the Actraiser 2 almost impossible to play without wanting to destroy your controller. The play control in the second game is very unforgiving at times while the enemies can take you out in a matter of seconds (it's a little less or as difficult as Dracula X on the Turbo Duo). I still like Actraiser 2 though because the graphics and sound are just incredible as well as the first game.

And to think, I just bought my son a spare PS2 at a thrift store for $25 with a four player adapter and game.
