Idk, if i am to change the RAM, ill just get a whole newcomplete set, its kinda cheap anyway, so even if the difference isnt big between 800 and 1066, ill go with 1066.

Im more wondering if its worth going from 2gb to 4gb in order to get a better minimum fps in games.

XP 32, ASUS P5K-E, Q6600 @ 2.40, GTX 285, 1680/1050,

So i'd like to get a better minimum FPS in games. I rarely drop below 60FPS, but sometimes i drop to 50 when theres a lot of smoke/fire etc.

Im sticking to XP 32 for now, ill upgrade to Windows 7 64bit eventually.

Is it worth upgrading from 2 x 1gb @ 800mhz to 2 x 2gb @ 1066 on win xp 32 ?? I know xp32 will not recognize all the 4gb, but would i get a better min fps in games ?

Thx

Thx for replys, i got a Q6600 stock, ASUS P5K-e, OCZ 2go @ 800mhz, ANTEC 900, T220 1680/1050, Thermaltake 500w, ASUS 8800GT 512,

I think EVGA include adaptors in the box for the second pci-e 6pins connection.

Also, if i use my current PSU, would i be able to benefit 100% capacity of the GTX 260 core 216, considering i would use an adaptor and my PSU is only 29amps on the +12v rail ? Would it affect the performence on my new GPU ?

I got 2g @ 800mhz, is it normal the memory is used at 30% when there's no applications running, except windows ? Is there some kind of spyware of something that is eating the memory ?
