@Sound_Demon: It sure is hard to come up with gameplay that's pleasing everyone, but it seems almost impossible to break the wall of blind nostalgia anyways. If you are fair you have to admit they have to try something new. If it is good or bad is mostly a matter of taste - unless the whole thing is broken. So far I am just worried about the camera at battles, but a broken system sure looks different for me.
@sladakrobot: So are many, many more FFs. Girly Girl Vanille, Afro-Hairstyle Sazh, Innocent Flowergirl Aerith, Oh-So-Lonenly-Hero (Cloud, Squall, ...), ...
And take these: Some schoolkids flying around with their university - FF8 Circus-Crew touring the world - FF9 ...
It's okay if it is not your taste, but your arguments seem kinda weird.
@bradbrad: Yes and no... You can play it online with friends if you get the DLC. But the argument about it being "MMO" is aiming for something different. It's the massive world with tons of sidequests, etc... The general feel of a MMO-game you play alone and offline, like the singleplayer in Xenoblade.
