Someone else said it but find out what your mates have and go with that. If you have 50/50 or not many real life mates online gaming then pick which has the games that appeal to you more.

The online is somewhat better on xbox although that is subjective really.

From what you say xbox would suit you more but again go with your real life mates you'll have more fun on whichever system when playing with mates imo

Just create a new user on the far left of the xmb and then create a new psn as you would for your main account. All free you just need a different email address

There is no bypassing the native resolution of the game. Thats not even sonys fault anyway. I can't see 48 pixels more making that much of a difference anyway. Unless you've got a pair of microscopic eyes. Some people can't even see much of a difference between 720p and 1080p.

I'm really enjoying these now, but are there any other hidden gems that I may be missing? Modnation racers interests me. I've got a 360 and Wii already, and will get most multiplatform games for my 360, so what are some great, possible sleeper-hit exclusives?

First off welcome to the world of multi console gaming its a good place to be...and now is a great time to join the PS3 side with as Im sure you know great exclusives in the line up to come..

Also a great choice to start with they should keep you occupied for a bit!

id recomend getting on top of those:

Uncharted 1 (not quite so good as 2 but the characters and story are worth the cheap asking price easily)

Demon Soul's

Modnation Racers (ok i admit ive only played a bit at a mates but think LBP with mario kart)

Wipeout HD (on PSN with Fury xpac or there is a disk version - pretty much my all time fav series from ps1 days)

GT5 - yep i enjoy it move along

NFS : HP - multiplat but runs the same as xbox and personally i prefer the DS3 for racers

Upcomming - Dead Space 2 (demo is running as good as xbox which is a good sign + ps3 will get some bonus content - move related tho - )

ME2 (yes as a xbox owner aswell you may have t already but any excuse for another playthrough;p)

edit: I almost forgot: HEAVY RAIN. Its cheap now and once you get passed the slow start ..wow..its hard to put down. And God of War 3. Some seem to hate on it here alot but its a lot of fun imo

Yes, they did. And in Japan. In the u.S. however, it was almost 2:1 in favor of the XBox 360. I November XBox 360 sold like 1.1 million in the U.S., while the PS3 sold about 600K.

Ill carry on enjoying my ps3 mainly and xbox for short bursts with mates for giggles. But I never will understand the logic that NA =World for sales..

Btw where I am in the uk its hard to find ps3's in stock or standalone xbox's. All I see in Game and hmv atm is kinect bundles. Because of this its PLAIN to see kinect is fail and will never do well. Just so you know.

Meh I dont use either rental services. Ive got love film on ps3 now which is nice and anything else I just buy or..try before I buy on less honest sites ;p

My 3 year old machine is a 3.2ghz (OCd) dual core, no game can stand to its power, and its really really old now. You got ripped off to a very high degree of rip-off.

Or for Uk people try Overclockers.co.uk. Workmates just got himself a decent gaming rig shy of 600£ (thats with a OS aswell so deduct 80£ or so if not needed) which doesnt seem to want to say no to anything. Its where Ill be going to once Ive paid for important things like moving house. :~( Still its preference Ill still be playing my ps3 a hell of alot..xbox not so sure

I have a love/hate with CoD games. I really loved COD2 back on pc at uni with my housemates. Then it slowley turned into this..thing... and I really hate that. But I still enjoy the OTT stupid single player parts. Im one of the few who buy them for single player.

Also Blur. I was sure I would hate it because its Activision and I didnt like PG racing. Now im considering getting it on ps3 even though I have it on xbox because its just so smooooth and fun to play
