Yes... maybe most console fans got their brain cells burned before understand my post. Or, maybe I have explained too much together, or whatever, but this is not "one more topic" about why there are people who voluntary still playing in the worst possible conditions. What I want to know is:

What's wrong with those console fans to still blaming against the best device for videogames.

I don't care if you love to play in your "coooouch"... or if you want to convince everyone that you love your few hours duration exclusives, or if you repeat (until someone believes you) that you don't care about mods. Or if you are tired to say that you don't want lower prices, backwards compatibility, future certainty, all genres in their best shape, or whatever you invent to feel good with your pathetic situation, right?

I want to know why there still existing a core of fanboys that need to be constantly arguing against the PC, which is equal to argue against the best for videogames. :)

I've started strong in gaming in the era in which games came in full color, the 2000s more or less: Baldur's Gate, Diablo 2, Age of Empires, Heroes 3, Counter, Starcraft...

I had the immense luck of have been on PC all of my life, started with my parent's PC, today I have all my all time favorite games since I've born at few clicks in my best device, updated with mods and knowing will be playable forever.

Yes, in the past century consoles were (almost) the only way to play, PCs were expensive as a car, complex to use, and you really did not need them for your normal life, consoles had a real meaning in that century, which was: to play many, cheap and easy.

But in this century, when everyone has (and need) a PC, and also, when consoles have less and less exclusivity, having more than 90% of their catalogue in multiplatform (which works better on PC, timeless and with mods, obvious)... here we have an... outdated... console fanboy core blaming the best device ever created to play, which has more freedom than any other device, with all genres, timeless without 'generations', with free online, cheaper games, even emulating all consoles from the past, able to modify games to the absurd, even creating entire new genres (which are famous later on consoles, you can thank us whenever you want, you know).

What’s wrong with them?

I think to something with more than 2 cellbrains will be obvious that it will happens the same of GTA 5, in which console-fanboys were the beta testers for next consoles versions, and the most important version of all: PC, which with mods is years lights from consoles.

So yes, having a PC version, even in the future, consoles has 0.

And even pure Sony or Nintendo exclusive (the only they can afford to hold today in which every third party want to be on PC, Rockstar included), if you are forced to play in a phone or a console, the game has 0 too. It is obvious.

First... the OP is just making an opinion based on a narrow vision of video game industry (very influenced by console culture, I'm so glad of never had a console in my life...). The OP found its opinion only in console-oriented game (wrong called "AAA"), which are the worst example of games, a 1 use game that don't worth to still playing, while real games are those you want to return year by year with renewed expectations.

And second... it is false:

I can't believe there's only 1 saying that there are very different games. Diablo 2 is a grinding ARPG game, Divine Divinity is an ARPG, and Baldur's Gate is an RPG.

All of them are incredibly good for their genres. Diablo II is still playing today, online, with great population, probably is the most successful of those, but Baldur's Gate amongside Fallout were the ones in which modern RPG are based. And Divine Divinity is like if Baldur's Gate had a child with Diablo 2...

You have quoted some of the best games ever, how do we know it? because they have set a precedent (i.e. most modern games are based on them) (a.k.a. this entire topic is ridiculous).

Best answer to this kind of posts.

@putaspongeon: well, clearly you are trolling.

1) Still dreaming.

2) I have a PS2 that a friend gave to me, and I've used it only to play a fighter game that we enjoyed, never borrow or bought a game because in PC I have more games than I can play, in best quality, deeper, longer, and with mods. Time is limited and can't play ALL games, need to choose, so, even being able to play free, you are paying the most valuable recurse in universe: your TIME.

3) You can play at my level on your PC (I thought this thing would be turning sad with time but still hilarious each time), and you can play things that I don't want to play in your PS, Nintendo & Xbox, good luck with that garbage. But, hey! here are more things that I don't want like spend the whole day spitting from a bridge, go and do that to feel better than a pure PC gamer, hehe.

4) If you don't care what people prefer, what are you doing here? I'm here because it's a shame that console fans want to play my games as Dragon Age, making the release for consoles profitable, and the games worse than if PC only, that is my point, but you are a console lover, what is your point here? ah... fanboyism, check.

5) Yes, your top rated games (those you want to presume on forums) are linear-casual-sentimental garbage, there are others that not but even free I don't want to feel something for a game that I need a dedicated device to play, also not knowing if I would be able to still playing in my next console, and without mods, even being free my time worth more.

6) To still playing PS1, 2, 3 games, you need those consoles, or a (bad) "remaster" (if available) at full price, nice scam, those are devices, someday WILL fail and you won't be able to play them until buy another, used, great election. Not mention how uncomfortable is to have many consoles just to play all your catalogue while in PC I have all my gaming history at 1 click, with mods.

You have been wasted time for a closed device, at this point I can only feel pity for your people...
