It is and it isnt, you are taking it out of context. The Wii really isnt a "proper" game machine like a PS3 or a 360, in the sense that its use goes beyond just gaming. It is used for all sorts of things which make it more then a game console. The problem is that the amount of games which suite the people who have been playing Nintendo systems since NES have seriously gone MIA, atleast this is true in my case.[QUOTE="Ants2k1"]
You said the Wii wasnt a proper game machine? So whats a proper game machine?

I'm sure there are lots of people who dont mind going for years without any AAA titles.
If we want to be technical you are correct about it being a proper game machine because it indeed plays games, but there is obviously a HUGE difference between the type of machine the Wii is, and what the PS3 and 360 are. Also by what i said PC isnt a proper game machine due to its many uses, why didnt someone throw that at me? it would have been far better ownage.
My statement was indeed a bit poor in describing what i meant, esspeccially if you ignore the second part of the sentance. You cant deny the Wii is different, it is unlike any game console we have ever had. The way i see it at the moment i feel nintendo are very happy with selling it as a fitness machine to the casuals who may decide to buy new super mario bros. Wii or some other mario games.
I mainly drew my conclusion about it not selling as a real game machine from how low the sales are for The legend of Zelda Twilight Princess (5.5 Mill for the Wii) compared to all those other high seller titles. I feel that any gamer who had been with nintendo from the begining would buy Zelda if they got a Wii. I know i bought my Wii first week it was out along with TP.
I would say more but Walls of text arent enjoyable. good day.
I'm confused? The Wii is not a gaming machine, because it just plays games? The PC is not a proper gaming machine because it does other applications?
But the PS3 and 360 are gaming machines because they go beyond gaming?
P.S; I didnt know 5.5 mil copies of a game sold was bad? Whats a good amount to sell? 20 or 30 mil?
