@Antwan3K: Now If a cow on the PS5 buys FH5, it's not counted as Xbox money, as you dont need an Xbox to purchase it, therefor the money goes to MS. Why are you continuing to peddle this lie, because Phil tells you to?
are you under the impression that the money from Xbox 1st party software sales don't go to Xbox?..
do you also think the money from 1st party PlayStation sales doesn't go to PlayStation?.. i didn't need a PS5 to purchase these games:
@navyguy21: He avoided your question like a plague.😂
Yea, a lot of gamers here have on blinders, possibly branded with a logo
What they (and most gaming media) fail to understand is that we aren't in a traditional market anymore.
[...]
kids used to ask for a console to play games.. these days, kids are playing games on their iPads.. the most popular games used to be sold at retail.. these days, the most popular games are free-to-play..
these are fundamental differences in the way the gaming industry works yet a certain few can't seem to get the memo..
there's a reason why PlayStation attempted to move their entire gaming business strategy over to live service games and it's not because everything is just fine and no changes were needed.. it's because ex-PlayStation boss, Jim Ryan, believes the future of gaming is in live service games..
Then you have ex-PlayStation boss, Shawn Layden, stating that current AAA development growth Is unsustainable and also stating that we are a generation or two from where the proprietary console becomes irrelevant..
Then you have the CEO of Sony stating their future in games will be in Consoles, PC, Mobile, And Cloud..
Then you have ex-PlayStation executive, Shuhei Yoshida, saying "Single-player games now cost so much, so they need additional income by doing remasters and porting to PC to be able to do that."
and now you have the current CEO of PlayStation, Hiroki Tokoki, saying:
That's both former and current heads of Sony/PlayStation all telling us all the same thing:
GAMING IS CHANGING..
yet you have disingenuous concern trolls like @ghostofgolden running around with his fingers in his ears; still going on and on about "console sales" and "exclusive games".. the same can be said for out-of-touch console warriors like @last_lap.. both completely clueless about what's actually happening in gaming; either by willful or feigned ignorance..
but whatever, .. you can only talk to a brick wall for so long before you start to look stupid as well..
@Antwan3K: Still not sinking in I see. And there isn't any way to enlighten you, so this conversation has come to an impasse and thus I must bid you a farewell.
when you pay for Xbox content from the Xbox Store, you are an Xbox customer.. it's a rather simple concept..
you can't seem to understand and/or accept this simple concept but that doesn't change the fact of the matter..
@Antwan3K: No, you're a MS customer. How many times do we need to go over this before it sinks in for you?
when you subscribe to Game Pass Ultimate, what kind of customer are you?..
a Game Pass Ultimate subscriber can access those games on console, PC, and cloud.. is that also a Microsoft customer (but somehow NOT an Xbox customer)?
true.. it'd also interesting if @loudheadphones can actually answer my question..
these fanboys claim "Xbox is doomed" every other week but can't seem to nail down when that's actually supposed to happen.. 🤷♂️
I've answered your question Xbot. Next-gen when it starts, it will start that year. Maybe in 2027, maybe in 2028. What, you want from me to predict Next-gen will start in seconds, minutes, Xbot??
You are so Xbot that you are loving to twist my words, Xbot. Where i've said exactly "Xbox is doomed"?
gotcha, so there will be no Xbox next-gen console and Game Pass will also end by the start of next-gen..
@navyguy21: You’d have a point if those Q2 results didn’t include BLOPS 6. The hardware and software losses are so big that the biggest game on the planet can’t help them. Q3 will be poor. Q4 will continue the trend. The ONLY reason Xbox had ”growth” the previous 4 quarters of last FY was because of ABK. But Xbox themselves also differentiated their quarterly performance in those quarters with and without ABK. And guess what, they’d have damn near 8-9 quarters of straight losses. They did this to show how the ABK was a “win” for their investors. But now we are gonna go back to quarterly losses because their hardware and software numbers are shit. PlayStation support is their only chance for growth at this point. And as we see, PlayStation carrying 64% of the revenue load STILL isn’t enough.
You are seeing what you want to see, rather than what's in front of you.
I wont bother to explain because you'll only see what you want.
@Antwan3K: You're tying yourself in knots to make this an Xbox thing. When something that is sold on a platform other than an Xbox it becomes a MS thing.
It's like how if a game from MS is released on the PC, PS5, etc and says it's an Xbox studios game, when that is false, as it implies that they only make games for Xbox. So they should be called by their rightful name of Microsoft game studios.
Common sense ant, use some.
again, when you subscribe to the PC Game Pass (ie utilizing the Xbox Store on PC) are you an active Xbox customer?..
