I'm an old-school gamer so no disc drive means no sale. I prefer to still own something rather than downloading everything for hours on end just because some idiot says I have too.
So yeah, the day that discs stop flying through my door is the day I stop playing consoles altogether.
In what day and age can 3 million sales be considered a failure? Only Square Enix could manage that. I don't know how much TR cost them to make but it must have made a profit or they're doing it wrong.
I don't want to hear about how they think the markets to blame considering they can't even get their own business affairs in order.
Where's Versus XIII and KH3? Nowhere to be seen. It's amazing how they love to announce titles but actually releasing them is another matter.
It also stands to point that they've re-made FFXIV and are banking on it being a success... but I don't think people will go for it.
Got to say that I've given up with Square Enix. I'm no longer interested in their shoddy games or their draconian business model.
@Mr_Mark_Legion No idea, but I hope they don't pull that compression crap to make it fit on one disc. I'd have to guess they'll go for two discs but if they compromise visual quality they could get away with one on the platform.
Gameplay over graphics every time. I could care less about Crytek because they're games have gone way downhill since the release of the original Crysis. They've lost their way in the industry.
I'll continue to play games that offer up an intriguing story and great gameplay, the rest is just rabble that publishers push on kids to get sales because of the 'eye-candy-but-no-substance' effect.
@kamikazeespleen @dribblesbarbax @AntwanMedia Remember, the pre-load downloads the archived version of the game. It could expand to being 30gb depending on how good the compression used was.
Guess we'll be finding out in just under 10 hours.
