[QUOTE="ApocalypseXIVV"] [QUOTE="gdp72"]My opinion is that if it was cost effective to repair the problem, M$ would have done it. My guess is that it's cheaper for them to have a band-aid like an extended warranty versus actually fixing the issues. By the time their next console comes out, they may finally figure out how to build a console. By then it's too late for me. I will never buy another M$ console!gdp72
the first xbox could have survived a nuclear war, they now how to build consoles, they just really screwed up with this one
I know the failure rate was okay on the Xbox but mine had problems. It never actually had a complete failure but it froze up on me constantly. Enough for me to sell it.
well thats extremely rare, i never heard of any1s xbox failing, so you cant count that console as faulty, youve just had bad luck . but the 360 is a real issue, ive had 3 fail on me, so i understand your concern, i just choose not to let it bother me and wait the few weeks to get the refurb, the one i have now has lasted over a year and im fine with it so far. Ill only get pissed if it fails after the warranty and they tell me to get a new one or try to sell me a refurb, then ill give up on em
