Is Sega jumping the shark?

That happened a long time ago.

And Unleashed looks like its the best one,but the werehog basically ruined it,the dark brotherhood is really slow from what Ive seen and its filled with sonics stupid friends,the black knight has a freaking sword!,but I have to see some footage before I judge it.

Anyway I liked secret rings aswell,but it had tons of flaws,and adding a sword doesnt really fix them.

This information didnt come from me,early information was that it was an oblivion clone,that didnt turn out to be true.

Well theres some good news,its not an oblivion clone(thank god!).

Its a secret rings sequel with sword combat,which still sounds sucky.

And no I didnt make up anything about it,early information kept saying it was first person with wrpg elements,theres still some RPG elements but its not first person.

Oblivion clone? Where did that come from? If anything, this will probably follow in the same spirit as Sonic and the Secret Rings. Instead of Arabian Nights, the theme this time around looks to be some kind of medieval setting, probably King Arthur or something like that.

Considering Secret Rings was the last decent console Sonic in a very long time, I think this game could actually turn out pretty well if it fixes all the flaws with the last one.

I said oblivion clone because the information we got from some people who read the mag was that its:

1-First-person.

2-WRPG elements.

3-doesnt make use of motion plus.

4-exclusive for wii

5-set for a 2009 release.

Its not confirmed yet,but this is Sega.

i really enjoyed when you had the old sonic games perfected and you really never stopped moving in a level. the only other game that ive played that has also delivered that kind of play is the original donkey kong country. there was the good ol platforming in both of them, but once you knew the levels you could come back and go through them without ever stopping movement to the right. it was awesome.OneWingedAngeI

The thing about 2D sidescrollers is that you almost never get tired of them,at anytime I can play Super Mario Bros.,Sonic The Hedgehog 2 and Donkey Kong Country and keep playing for hours,even when you die you just start over like nothing happened and still have the same amount of fun.

Thats the thing that most games can not emulate in this day and age.

The old Sonic games also used physics to help create speed. For instance jumping out of a loop when you are at 2 O clock position would land you at 9 0 clock and with full speed. However I would prefer a full tech update than a new Genesis game as S3+K was taking the series as about as far as it can go on Megadrive hardware.

I never said the old sonic games wasnt about speed,Its just not all about it,reaching top speed and using different tactics to get there has always been a staple,but in rush you already start off very fast and its a hell of alot faster than any of the old sonics with alot less platforming.

Try playing the first three sonics,than play the rush games,there IS a difference.

And the reason I want it to go back is because the genesis sonic games were the best no argument,and even if Sega sucks now I still like to see them try.
