I came in here to say Red Steel 2 and Wii Sports Resort, but the boards are on top of things, as usual. Good job everyone!

Hm. Now that is an idea I haven't heard since.....

[QUOTE="Pixel-Perfect"]

I feel like I'm back in 2006. :P

goblaa

That's how sad this is.

Lucas Arts has made all of zero good games this whole gen. Not only would a first person action/adventure be the best game they could make this gen, it would be the easiest too.

I was just thinking the same thing. I think when the Wii came out everyone was thinking fps Star Wars game. Well, everyone except the people who could have actually done it.

I know its pretty common place to make 4/5 stars equal 80/100 on some aggregate game score sites, but why not just put 4/5 in your OP? I mean, I know it's convenient, but to me it also is horribly inaccurate.

You mean besides EA being one of the biggest 3rd party publishers. ... Yeah its unlikely that EA would drop support if Nintendo didn't pick up Origin, but picking it up would give Nintendo a distinct advantage, perhaps even with exclusive big market games. Sepewrath

True, but to give them special privileges alienates other publishers. I just don't think its smart business to so heavily favor one publisher over others, especially when so many of those publishers are already going to be peeved that they have to compete against you (Nintendo) anyway. At least have the illusion of a level playing field.

I'm saying the smart thing for Nintendo to do would be to pick up Origin, promote the hell out of it, but not give it any exclusivity. Later, if Valve jumps on board, do the same thing.

Edit:

And since Valve doesn't make a bunch of games, being on their good side, doesn't mean much from a software standpoint.Sepewrath

It does mean a lot when you're as worried about your image as Nintendo seems to be with the WiiU.

Nintendo is foolish if they give Origin any kind of exclusivity on the WiiU. EA will NOT back out if they can't get it to be the only service on the new system. Origin just isn't big enough to have that kind of clout. If Nintendo goes exclusively with Origin, then they fail to realize that they are the ones in control in this situation. Or, I suppose, they are attempting to be very buddy buddy with EA for reasons I don't yet understand.

I totally called it. Right after E3 I said we would be telling people that this is a whole new console for months. I'm beginning to think that some people won't know by next E3.

I wouldn't bother with Super Paper Mario. I was kind of bored with it. Add Mario Kart Wii, Okami, Metroid Prime: Trilogy, and Twilight Princess to that list and you're good though.

NO!

One simple reason really: Zelda has always been a game where you get to name your own hero. Sure there are those of us who go traditional and name the hero Link, but the option is still there and its part of what makes a Zelda game. You can't really get around the fact that if you include full or even partial (Link doesn't talk) VO into the mix you'd have to cut this out.

Ok, not gonna lie: I just skipped to the last page of this thread so i'm sorry if this has already been said.

This is coming from the same people who brought you the Totally-not-directed-at-14-year-old-boys-or-grown-men-forever-stuck-in-that-mind-set-we-swear Video Game Awards. Just laugh and move along, secure in the knowledge that you'll soon be enjoying a great new Zelda game.
