Ok, ok, it's a broken game in 2018, from a studio with a history of publishing pre-beta level games...but why does it have to be so horrendously ugly? Is this supposed to be retro?
no, sorry, hf is actually better than you remember. it was an amazing feat of state of the art technology with great storytelling. few of the games achieved anything close to that since.
They need AAA blockbuster IP, that doesn't come out on PC, and is not Gears of War. The last 'exclusive' was getting Tomb Raider half a year earlier than other platforms. Fable could be nice-ish..but again, only if it's xb1 only.
I think this episode of FC takes itself a bit too seriously. Even the 4th wall breaking winks don't help that. For me it was always less about the story and more about gunporn and hunting. And in those aspects the game fails miserably. The better gunplay doesn't make a difference if 20 hours in I still use the same weak AR-C because stat-wise it's mostly identical to other assault rifles. Maybe it's more realistic to have fewer but more popular weapons, but it's just boring for me. The kidnap sequences are clunky and intrusive, taking away more from the immersion than they add. It's fun to romp around the map, some areas are really beautiful especially with HDR, but for me there isn't much else to do. Oh, and no, there is no endgame till the DLC-s.
Out of this 'great' list Bayonetta and Fire Emblem are the only moderately interesting ones. Thank god they don't bring MHXX to the west, saved me from buying a console for 3 games.
