[QUOTE="fireandcloud"]ok, i just got to the gears of war vehicle level in which you shine a light at bats while 'driving' around. before i played this level, i thought the vtol level in crysis was the worst, but this was so pointless and stupid that it took the cake. what's the worst vehicle level in a non-driving/flying game that you played?lenson
Hated that level too.
Last level of halo sucked. The vehicle controls in halo I thought were stupid. I can't drive a warthog to save my life.First time I managed make it halfway through. I thought it was the end of the level though thats where that pigeon (whatever the heck the dropships are called in halo)said it was going to pick me up. I got there and had a few minutes to spare so I got out to wait. The dropship crashed of course, and I can't remember all the details but my warthog got knocked off the bridge so here I am suppose to drive even further than before but my jeep is gone. So I figured hey what te heck so I tried to make a run for it. Ship blew up of course and I died. Had to redo that level a bunch of times.
Haha, the pigeon is called the "Pelican" -- no worries, I just thought it was a funny guess. Anyway OP, you ask a great, in fact, a fantastic question. So many shooting games put one of these typically 'on-rails' vehicular levels to, I guess, mix things up? I hated them in pretty much every MOH and CoD (never played the ones in 4 that everyone says is awesome).
MOH:AA...ugh. Tacked on, and utterly painful to play. You just trudge through them, they are no fun. You get the brunt of the experience with the first, maybe, 3 guys you flatten with your .30 cal machine gun. The rest is the same plain experience multiplied by 50.
Devs, please read thread, plz thx.
