Been a long time...

I'm still playing FFVII:Crisis Core. It's a fun game but every area is pretty much the same thing with new textures laid on top. All that really means is that I play it a little each week instead of everyday. I've actually been spending time with Gurumin on the PSP. It's a fun game. Very easy to play, kinda reminds me of Zelda for some reason...

I picked up Condemned 2: Bloodshot for the PS3. I needed something scary to play and this game certainly fills that spot. It's a lot better than I thought it was going to be. I'm still happy I bought it used for $16.99 though!

I've also sold my 2000 series PSP. I'm going to buy one of the new 3000 units when they come out. I figure that I use it enough to warrant the upgrade.

Too... Many... Games...

I have way to many games that I'm trying to fit into my life right now.

I'm focusing mostly on FF VII: Crisis Core for the PSP. This game is mostly button mashing, which normally I would stay away from, but it's so much fun. If you play this game right (I think that's mixing in a few missions per save point) the action is almost non stop. Great cut scenes and superb story make this my PSP top choice right now. Sorry Wild Arms XF!

On the PS2 I'm really into Shin Megami Tensei: Persona 3 FES. This series has always had a gothic twist to it but this time it really clicks. I'm not that far into it and so I can't say too much but the flow of the game is well done and the story has me hooked so far. I like the characters and setting (which does involve a school just like the last ones).

Finally I'm still playing Hot Shots Golf: Out of Bounds on the PS3. This game is still fun. It's the only kind of golf game I'll play. It takes a lot from the past games but that's ok, it's exactly why I like the series in the first place!

Hot Shots Golf: Out of Bounds

This game is lot of fun. I've always been a fan of the HS series but the new swing mechanic in this game is pretty cool. At first I couldn't make it work but I'm slowly getting used to it now. Of course the graphics are cool but I thouht a nice touch was making the UI work and feel like the PSP version of the game.

I'd write more but I've really only begun to play the game so these are my initial thoughts.

Warhammer Delayed Again...

EA Mythic announced today that it was delaying release again. Now we have a date of "fall 2008" which would make it about one year past it's initial release date. All in all I guess that's not so bad.

When looking at the game now I do get this weird feeling that EA has steered Mythic towards a WoW clone. I really hope that is not the case.

They did release this new video of some beta gameplay but like I said before... It gives me the creepy feeling of WoW. I'm sure as more is known and seen this will go away. We still haven't seen anything of the GUI and barely anything of the enviroments, live that is. My hopes are still high and Mythic is still my favorite game developer despite the EA buyout.

Wild Arms XF

I haven't played this game very long yet but I'm having a lot of fun. At first I was worried that it wouldn't have the feel of the the Wild Arms series but that was dispelled the moment the game started.

Wild Arms XF has the same sound and feel of the most recent additions to the series. I especially enjoy the hex grid. I think it's a big improvement over tactics games played on a square based board.

That's about all I have for now. I may update more as I play. If you like tactics games I would check this one out. Just because it's not made by Square Enix doesn't mean it's bad!

Bose Wave Music System

I bought a Bose Wave Music System today and WOW! I'm still amazed at the sound this thing puts out. It's just not natural. The sound is incredible. I bought the additional CD changer so that I could hook my 360 and PS3 into it. Good stuff.

The only thing I don't like, and this is a minor, minor thing, is that you cannot fine tune the sound settings (like up the bass, lower the treble). It's not a huge deal but I live in an apartment so it would've been nice to down play the bass a bit. Bose recommends listening to the Wave System at a volume of 80 ~ 85. So far I haven't been able to turn it up past 35.

Overall... Very happy I bought it and sorry I waited so long. If you have $800.00 sitting around waiting to be spent on a new stereo I would look into this little piece technology. Don't let the size fool you! Check this thing out. You will not regret it.

Persona 3 FES

I just read on Gamespot that Persona 3 FES is coming out on the PS2. I'm very excited about this because I missed it the first time around. Persona is a fun game to play for the more mature RPG player. I think they tend to be a little more involved than your normal FF clone.

I'm not sure if I'll find the time to finish it or not.. But I will have a great time playing it!

What I like to play

Since this is my first post and I've never done this before I thought I would explain a bit about the games I like to play.

PC - WoW was great fun. I level'd up to 60 and saw everything there was to offer at the time (pre-expansion). But in the end I cancelled that game to go back to my all time favorite, Dark Age of Camelot. Before you go "What?!? Why?", let me explain: DAoC happens to have some great enviroments to run around in which is something I find to be very important. For me the best part of an MMO is running around finding new places and Dark Age has many! I also like the fact they they have never raised the max level, never, not once. If I leave the game for a while, which I've done a more than a few times, I always come back and can explore anything new with my top characters.

I also like to play Heroes of Might and Magic. The third installment is my favorite but the fifth is good also. A cool RPG to check out is the Divine Divinity series. I think those are fun even though they look low budget (not too low, but, for example, compared Bioware...).

Console: Right now I'm very much into Unreal Tournament 3 on the PS3. It's fast and furious action with really nice graphics. Also on the PS3 is Super Stardust HD and Blast Factor and for some of you old school players I also have MK2, MediEvil, Hotshots Golf 2 and Wild Arms. Those last three I downloaded for the PSP.

On the Xbox 360 I'm playing Two Worlds, Mass Effect and Legos SW: TCS. I have more games but I'm not going to list them now. For XBLA I went old school again: Dig Dug, Ms Pac Man and Gauntlet. I like the shooter Omega 5 and have also been seen playing a relaxing game of Backgammon.

Hand Helds: The PSP is my all time favorite here. I have quite a few games and now that I have the Slim version with the video out, I'm buying movies as well. I'm putting a lot of time in Brave Story but I switch it up a bit and play FF Tactics, Sega Collection, Hot Shots Golf and Mercury.

I do own a DS but I just don't put a lot of time into it. I haven't played it in weeks. I own FF3, Age of Empires and a few others. One that I have put more time than most in is Etrian Odessy. This game has the explorer quality I like so much.

I think that's about it for now. As I get new items I'll post new info.
