Since the technology that goes into making games has increased and it takes much longer to make a game it's much more difficult for developers to make longer games in the short time frame given to them. When you throw in that most games now contain some sort of multiplayer that eats up more time.

I for one would rather play a single player campaign that only lasted 6 hours and was top knotch all the way than some 16 hours joke that was thrown together. I would also rather see a game with a short single player campaign and steller multiplayer over a game with not so great multiplayer and a few more hours in the campaign, since that's where 80% of the replay value is for me. Look at CoD4 and Halo3. Those games have amazing multiplayer, and the game is worth the $60 price tag simply for it's multiplayer. For me the extra 6-8 hour campaign is just iceing on the cake.

wow.. the pc FPS controlls are BULL... the xbox controllers are not clumsy, i just cant believe u think that the pc keyboard and mouse are better, OTFLMAO!!!seventy5cent832

A mouse is quite a bite more precise than a controller. With a mouse you have a much larger range of motion so it is much easier to make precise movements, or make for a fast 180.

As a long time PC shooter player I've always felt the mouse and keyboard were the best control system for FPS games. As a recent XBox360 owner I've decided to brave the clumsy controls in order to play the Darkness which I think looks great.

So far I've been able to adapt pretty well to the dual stick inputs but they are a long way from being as natural as the Mouse/Keyboard.

I've noticed that once I get the aim close to my target it seems to lock on to them. Is this typical of most console shooters? It's probably the one thing that saves the aiming controls from being extremely frustrating.

Also, I'm having trouble getting used to the very slow rotation of the character. With a mouse I can quickly turn a 180 or change targets. There is a serious delay with the console controls that means I have to anticipate a lot more.

I may fuddle through a game or two but my hats are off to you guys that can really be effect with the very robotic like controls.

I too have been and avid PC gamer, but in August decided to pick up a 360. It's been almost four months now struggling to get used to the lack of precision on a controller, but It's starting to feel cumfortable. Just keep playing shooters on your 360 and it'll click for you.

Yet, does it really matter? No, not really. When you play games you generally play against players of the same formate, so you don't need to worry if your opponet is using a mouse+keyboard or a regular controller.callen3

My thoughs exactly.

Dead Rising and Hitman are both great games. You should also look into PGR3, Lego Star Wars, Perfect Dark Zero, and Call of Duty 2.

It's not nearly as good as the Original CoD or Cod2, but still a good game. If you don't already own CoD2 pick that game up instead, or even better get CoD4.

Unless you're getting a 1080p HDTV you really don't need HDMI.

I like mine. It's nice being able to site my controller down and run to the kitchen to grab a sandwitch between matches and still be able to chat with my friend in a lobby before a game starts. When muted the headset beeps every minute or so to remind you that everyone else can't hear you talk, which is a really nice feature. The only think bad I can really say about the wireless headset is that it costs to much.

Most dissapointing game for me is deffinetly Halo 3. I expecting to enjoy and play this game much more than I did. I'm not saying Halo 3 is a bad game, or the worst game to come out this year becasue is deffinetly is not. The question however is my most dissapointing game for me, and I gotta say Halo 3 easily let me down the most this year.
