I only seen it once, but hot damn... I wanna go back. It's a VERY long movie... a VERY like... let's see... If Titanic met CNN coverage of the OJ scandal... yes, that long... maybe longer if you're not into comics or unaware that this is a movie based on a comic... I know there were a bunch of people in my theater looking at Nite-Owl and saying: "why the frack is Batman in this movie?"

...but forget them... It's a solid flick... about 7 out of 10. The length and the unfamiliar characters are going to be the tough sellers but I think it's going to sell well(mostly because of the "from the director of 300" commercials)... people who read the watchmen will enjoy it even though alot of the book was cut out(it's 3hrs but if they included all of the book it would've been like 5hrs), this is like the Lord of the Rings of Comics.

This wasn't really a review; I just wanted to let you folks know how I felt about the flick. I'm a comic geek on the side of being a daily gamer and I felt Watchmen was good, not great, I just want to see it again with people that read the book instead of my ignoramus friends who didn't get the point of the movie... enjoy.

So monday marked the day my 360 RROD'd on me... I'm stuck here without a 360 to play games and keep me occupied during the week when I'm @ home. To make things worse, Resident Evil 5 comes out next week which I'll have to play at a friend's house. Oh well, Watchmen comes out this week, so I have that to look forward to...

What's the deal with DC Comics? (sorry if I come out sounding like Jerry Seingfeld, though last nights episode was hilarious)

I just heard the news about Nightwing, Robin, and Birds of Prey comics all getting cancelled; so that when the Batman R.I.P. arc is finished there will be a huge Batman event titled: "Battle for the Cowl"

I'm not against the fact there could be someone else that's not Bruce Wayne as Batman, but Dick Grayson/Nightwing, no!!! He's been built up so much as not wanting to take on the Batman persona he became his own hero. Grayson is a much better character as Nightwing and he'd just lose everything that makes him cool if he were to become The Dark Knight.

 

Tim Drake and maybe Jason Todd are more suitable/acceptable as replacements for Bruce Wayne, temporarily; cause we all know that this decision isn't going to last long. Bruce Wayne is going to come back somewhere down the line and become Batman again, it's happened in the past when he got his back broken and this is going to happen again... I just hope when this is all said and done, i will be able to walk into a comic store a year from now and purchase a Nightwing comic starring Dick Grayson.

Lately I've been dropping alot of my hobbies(smoking, drinking, partying) all to make time for the massive amount of games that are going to be released this year(GTA IV, MK vs. DC, GoW2, KOF XII, and Ninja Gaiden 2, etc.). So i've been trying to get my room setup better since I'm going to be spending more time in there. But it sucks because my room is so small, i'm thinking about dropping my room and moving out, because i'm in need of more living space. I'm in the NYC area, friends if you're down to help me out, my contact information is available if you're interested in a roomie. I need space, myspace, morespace. 8)

So i came home on monday night, from work, hoping that i'll get in a couple hours of Halo3. Only to turn on my 360 and the screen is stuck black... So I check all the cables. Put the 360 on another TV. Bought new wires. Called a friend over to bring his 360 to try his 360 with my cables. And finally figured out that it's the system that's messed up. So now i'm stuck with nothing to play at home but my PSP. ugh!
