True, butif itwas on PSP... the lazy, fat, addicted people can play it while they're on the treadmill instead of stinking up their computer chairs.

AlphaMaxima

Of course they wouldn't get their fatness up on a treadmill. Nobody with a PSP does that! Not even now!

Also, i am in agreement with a lot of people here. Why would i want to waste time grinding/leveling for tons of hours in the most boring and over-rated game ever created? Why? I would rather have a good game made for the PSP.

Haligonian_Wii

you have to have a account at Photobucket.com or whatever. You upload it there, then you can use image or html codes to post it here.

Conserning the topic about crusades.. Religion has been used as an excuse for war and opression for centuries, this is not news. Like it has been said, crusades were not about religion alone. It might have been one of the reasons, but certainly not the only one. Political influence, trade routs etc.. Catholic nations of that time all pursued these interests and more. The wars between christians later in Europe (Thirty Year's War etc) were certainly not about religion alone. The power struggle in Germany, and earlier in France are proof enough. And this continues even today.. The nazis were not a religious group but they did not think twice about blaming jews for the death of Jesus. It just happened to suit their agenda. Much like the radical muslim terrorists use religion to gain support to fight the western nations because they are "infidels".. They want power, simple as that. This is the nature of humanity.. If the first human beings didn't decide to explain natural phenomenons such as thunder by saying that they are/they are caused by higher beings, I'm sure that we would still find a reason to kill each other. I suppose this is a useless post as I didn't exactly bring anything new to the table but I just wanted to voice my opinion.J-link

Thank you J-Link, your exactly right. Unfortunatly this thread will probably go on with pointless nonsense after this anyways

Your talking about your perception of christianity and how Hitler totally went against what that stands for. I'm talking about him using the power of religion to control his population.RationalAtheist

If Hitler is allowed to write all his ideas on paper and then turn it into a book and put BIBLE on the front, and you consider him a christain, then yes, he is.

If on the other hand, christain means following and believing in christ's teachings, then Hitler is most defenitly NOT a christain.

[QUOTE="hamstergeddon"]But without religion, the Pope wouldn't exist and therefore the Crusades and Inquisitions wouldn't! It is still a fault of religion! If everybody believes the Pope is the messenger of God then they will take what he says as the word of god, and even you guys admitted that the Pope does not perform the word of god! It deceitful to the people who so blindly obey this religion!hamstergeddon

Ya, and without athiesm the world wouldnt have had to go through the communist takeover, AIDS would have never been such an issue, WW2 would have never started, etc.

Do i need to list anymore major screw ups that athiests are responsible for?

WTF? What does this have to do with my debate? I was debating with rational people before you showed up. How is AIDS or WWII caused by Atheism?

Guys, I think we've found a match for RationalAthesit (no, actually he's worse than rationalAtheist)

What you want to always diss christains, and now when athiests get put on the spot he just want to personally attack me and act like what i am saying adds nothing to the conversation. Is that an athiest way of dealing with things?

Crusades and Inquistions had agendas hidden by religion. The agenda would still have existed....just a different cause to be a rallying point.

exactly here is my opinion.

It's too simple to say that religion causes war and violence. As an explanation for what we see on the news it is inadequate. Sometimes it's pretty clear that corrupt establishments or organizations use religion to justify crooked agendas. The imperialistic bloodlusts of the crusades were not so much a product of the 'Christian' invaders bible, but rather their own agendas.

Much of the conflict and war in the 20th century was the result of atheist ideologues. Religion gets the blame but history tells us quite a different story. The critic of religion needs to be able to offer an explanation for why the greatest butchers of the last 100 years turned to atheism and secularism for their justifications.
