Are they a good retailer? Anybody experienced problems when ordering from them? I'm looking into this psu that I want to buy from them but just want to make sure there trustworthy. I normally buy from Newegg but saw they sell it cheaper with free s/h.

Here's the link if anyone is curious.

Yeah I'm very lucky that it's still working. It was just a little bit that went into the holes. I had no problems prior to my old x2 5400+ where it was reading everything normal, than this happened. I was freaking out to see the cpu temps that high. Even my dram voltage kept jumping around for some reason.

Hello all, my bios is reading a cpu temp of 65c and vcore of 1.44. I know for a fact it's reading wrong because the case is no where warm and my 4770 sits at 39c idle. I did OC to 3.2 but I never touched the voltage. Anyways I downloaded core temp and it's reading

VID: 1.3250

cpu#0: 22c

Is my bios messed up? I do admit when installing my new x3 720, a little thermal paste went into the socket. Is that causing the problem?

I know it's an old item but I plan on using them with 5.1 logitech speakers for the xbox 360 so I can get digital audio. Do I need optical cables or it's just plug and play from the start?

[QUOTE="ihaveabu"]the z-5500 is so expensive partly cuz it sounds so amazingly awesome but also it works as a standalone receiver for 5.1 you plug your optical cable directly into it, bypassing the need for a fancy expensive receiver. i was looking into it with the same dilemma. i have the same speaker system that you do. it's a great system. got it for $40. i could either sell it and pay $250 for the z-5500 or buy a receiver.. both were expensive. I ended up buying a Creative Extigy external soundcard off ebay for $40. The amazing thing about this sound card is that it works as a standalone receiver with optical input and output into the Front/Back/Center-Sub jacks. And the sound quality will be on par with most expensive receivers look into it. my xbox is hooked up to my 540 speakers now with the extigy and it sounds amazing!

Forgot to ask, what exactly do you have? I'm not to familiar with these receiver stuff since this would be my first time owning one lol.

Thanks for the info, I'll definitely look into it. Could end up saving me $200+.

I currently use the x-540 and to me they sound great for the 360. Would it be worth upgrading to the Z series? Any big difference between these 2 speakers?
