I'm wondering if the game carts for DS can screw up, or be easily damaged like a CD or DVD can be scratched.

I've had Mario Kart DS for about a year and a half, and yesterday it stopped working. In the start up menu of the DS it would recognzie that it was Mario Kart, and it would show the MK icon there, but when I click it and it tries to start up it comes up with:

"Unable to load data. Turn the power off and reinsert the game card."

After trying several times with no luck, then returning after a few hours, it actually worked, but when I tried to play an online race it froze, and now it won't start the game again.

Any trouble shooting options or ways to clean the carts does that anybody can suggest?

Well the only one I've played for a long amount of time would be FF3, so that one is my favorite.

Well the graphics and music are beautiful and its nice to have an RPG on my DS, but because its recreating an old game, it still doesn't have a very intriguing storyline. They added personality to the characters, but they couldn't change the fact that the general storyline for FF3 back in the day just isn't up to standards of general RPGs. The personalities of the characters is the best feature of the story, but it isn't enough to make you care or anything like that. Or at least that's why I didn't enjoy it as much as I expected to. I liked it a lot, and it was fun and I absolutely adored the graphics, but I think the lack of truly involving story brought the reviews down.

I got Star Fox several months ago, but just got around to playing it a decent amount in the pass couple days because I was busy with other DS games and a couple Wii games.

I'm a few levels in, but I'm finding the bosses extremely difficult, like insanely difficult. I find that they are go crazy fast, always avoid you, dodge bombs usually and are really hard to hit or damage. Is there some strategy I seem to be missing? I looked at a walk through and it didn't offer any tips.
