I appear to have the same problem as well. My friend has completed it and doesn't have the problem so I reckon yuo have to complete it to sort it out. Hope that helps! :D :P :)

somewhere in options there is an option where you can set it to toggle UI on and off with escape (ESC) Hope that helps :P
