I have been watching the growth of the Xbox 360 very closely since it's launch and gradually I have spotted some games that looked decent and fun but nothing substantial really made me want to get it. Recently however I find myself being drawn towards getting one especially after seeing Gears Of War in action which is one of those games I couldn't wait to see released, along with Dead Rising, Project Gotham Racing 3, Saints Row, Test Drive Unlimited and not to mention Halo 3 on the way I dont see any reason why the Xbox 360 shouldn't be where my current Xbox is sitting right now.
The price tag is still £279.99 but I have to say from what I have seen of the system it looks to be worth every penny but I still feel a bit more thought and consideration will go into this before I make a nice hole in my wallet. When all is said and done though the Xbox is beginning to die off now and the PS3 is way out of my price range and will be for quite some time. So we shall see what comes of this one I guess but it looks promising to say the least that the 360 will be sat in my living room within the next few weeks or so.

Tom Clancy Adict?
by Azaiel on Comments
I took a look through my Xbox games list recently and noticed that I had a fair few Tom Clancy games in my roster, namely Rainbow Siz 3 : Black Arrow, Splinter Cell : Chaos Theory, Ghost Recon 2. Then onto the PC with Ghost Recon, Rainbow Six 1 & 3. I dont think I have any other games in the same preverbial frame as these and for some reason it only hit me this evening.
I know this is a pointless affair but when all is said and done I have never read a single Tom Clancy book, but yet the Ton Clancy video games I just can't stop buying & playing them.

My Xbox is no longer redundant!!

Well long time no post on here, been around as always but still had nothing to say really. I finally got myself some new Xbox games namely Midnight Club 3 : DUB Edition & Fight Night Round 3, both are pretty awesome in their own right and were well worth the coin even though MC3 is over a year old :P
As for the PC nothing much has changed still playing WoW as hardcore as ever along with my other few games of the moment, Warcraft 3 (still) and F.E.A.R. (still) but all in good fun huh :) Having found out I may have lost my PlayNC account has put a bit of a downer on some things meaning I might have to purchase some games again due to them messing my account up and pretty much refusing to help. Nothing much can be done on that one but alas some of the games are fun and would be missed so will be replaced shortly.

Back To Full Powah!

My GeForce 6600 AGP 256MB DDR GFX card arrived this morning and not a day too soon either, got it fitted and after a few minor teething issues I can finally start gaming again!! Granted it aint as good as a 6600GT however it runs damn fine for my needs and all my games now run superb after being used to a FX5700 128MB AGP card for almost as long as it has been on the market this is a breath of fresh air.
Finally being able to experience F.E.A.R in all its particle spitting glory without my framerate dipping to 10 or less is simply awesome :D but anyway small thing really I know most peoples comps will blow my old P4 out of the water but it does exactly what I need and is rock solid once again, what more can you ask :)

Why Now?

It would seem that my old faithful XFX Nvidia GeForce FX5700 has had enough, after approximately 4 years of good service I can no longer even run anything in 3D with hardware support. This blows more than can be imagined as it means that I need to upgrade really soon which is something I did not intend to do for at least a little while longer but oh well, hardware failure is one of those things that happens when it happens and there aint nothing that can be done about it.
I guess when all is said and done though at least I will be able to run newer games alot better than what I could but considering my eyesight I dont use uber high resolutions so the 5700 still held up pretty nicely. A bit more eye candy never goes a miss though really for some people it is important for games to look nice considering you sit there playing them for hours on end you dont really want to be looking at crap visuals for that long no matter how aweseome the gameplay may be, that may be a bit of a draconian way of looking at things but its how I see it and I know my view is shared by many others.
But anyway I am outta here to try and salvage what is left of my card and attempt to make it last just a few more days until payday.

Games I Am Looking Forward To
by Azaiel on Comments
This year I am really looking forward to seeing anything and everything to do with World of Warcraft : Burning Crusade, Neverwinter Nights 2, Crysis and then pretty much anything to do with the PS3 :D. Sadly I am going to have to upgrade my comp a fair bit to take advantage of the newer games but it's nothing major really I guess considering the new titles coming out look stunning to say the least.
Viva La Warcraft.....

What more has to be said? Blizzard really need to pull their act together with this one though, paying for a game that is unplayable by even the most basic of means while running on a 2.2 Mbit ADSL line is not really excusable in my honest oppinion but I guess when the chips are down I am just one very small voice in a rediculously large crowd in this case at least.
Massive profile update
by Azaiel on Comments
Well I might aswell get this started at last as I have been here on Gamespot for a long time now and yet never really made any contributions to the site so I start with a major game collection update with only a few of the old school games I have owned and in some cases still have today. There are alot more what I have not listed here as of yet but I have been gaming really since the age of 4 when I got my first Atari 2600 and the rest really is history, many game systems later and I am still gaming but now alot more hardcore really.
Anyway I intend to try and keep this profile up to date as possible and I am on Gamespot daily for quite a while so feel free to stop by and drop me a message anytime.
