The 4890 will outperform the GTX.MonsieurXOk, but what about this? XFX HD-577A-ZNFC Radeon HD 5770 (Juniper XT) 1GB 128-bit GDDR5 PCI Express 2.0 x16 HDCP Ready CrossFireX Support Video Card - Retail. This is where I get confused. I'd assume a 5770 would be better than a 4890, but it's also like $25 cheaper. Why cant they just make it easy?

So i recently built myself a new pc. AMD Phenom II 955 BE, MSI NF980-g65, 1tb hard drive, 4gb RAM. Aside from a BSOD trying to install Windows XP, it's been good. Been using on board video since I built it but decided today to go check what they had at Bestbuy. My 2 option as I saw it were an XFX Radeon HD 4890 or a BFG GTX 260, both $199.99.
Here's where I hesitate. My MB is a nVidia chipset, so if i decided down the road to go with 2 GPU, theyd have to be nVidia. However, as far as i could tell the Radeon was the better card with 1gb gddr5 as opposed to 896mb gddr3. So im looking for opinions on which I should get, or should I just wait and see what comes in the next few months? If you have a better card for a better price throw that one out there too. The most I'm looking to spend is $230ish including shipping and tax.
They just dont make this stuff easy for us stupid people.
I guess I'm the odd one out...98% of Star Wars games in my opinion have been terribad. The exceptions being KOTOR, Shadows of the Empire, and Battlefront 2. raven_squadWait. You're honestly willing to go on record and say that you though Shadows of the Empire was better than Jedi Knight/Jedi Outcast/Jedi Academy?
Maybe???
