An interesting; and somewhat eerie; song.
I notice many users recently used Fate/stay night avatars or themes, though this appeared out of the blue. Some unions added Fate/stay night characters to banners and sigs.
Does anyone know why this might be? :o
I knowI talk about the reaction sets often, but I would like your help again.
ThoughI appear to beusing most sets less often, there has been a noticeable increase in the degree of anxiety I expierience over extended periods of time, resulting in the re-surfacing of the martyr set. The degree of anxiety makes this very unpleasant, and greatly raises the likelyhood of the set re-surfacing frequently, often at inconvenient times.
Today, the set re-surfaced while at college. Though in this case, it seemed to be beneficial...I guess. A specific classmate had been harassing some other students and myself since the first week of this term (US equivalent - semester) by tampering with their belongings (e.g. by removing college-related documents or matierials), physically moving into them on purpose and continuing to make very impolite jokes of a sexual nature, which I found particularly offensive. There was one studentwho was also mocked 'behind his back' for growing long hair. While waiting for my final lesson, the student began pushing me, then decided to take a card issued to me that features the Absence Tel. no. printed on the backside. In fact, he still has it. :o After beginning to make perverted jokes again, I suddenly realized I was being leant on and that the idiot was attempting to push me over (again :x). I was already on the verge of falling under the influence of the martyr set, so this didn't exactly help. I decided to push back to avoid falling over and to ensure he understood the message that I was sick to death of his behaviour. However, a staff member witnessed this, and we were asked to separate into different rooms, which meant I got to wait in the corridor. :P (the emoticon is sarcastic). I believe the staff member spoke to both the student and myself, though she asked many questions that appeared irrelevant to the event, and gave responses that made little sense or had little relevance to the subject. She didn't say whether I could exit the corridor, soI waited until my tutor appeared, who had no knowledge of the incident. After informing the tutor of the incident, I was asked to wait in the corridor for a few minutes until he asked me to enter the classroom. Following this I was asked about the incident by the tutor again, who seemed to understand after I explained in greater detail.
I posted this because it is a noteworthy incident that occured as a result of the re-surfacing of the martyr set, encouraged by an increase in anxiety not helped by the college's poor community. I'll be honest, I hate this college, and always have since I came here. The community as stated before is very poor, most tutors are unfriendly (and discriminate against the cleaners according to the cleaning staff) and the lighting is less than satisfactory through almost every room in the college. My parents have already applied me for enrollment at Dundee College (I'm moving to Edinburgh later this year)to study a very similar course, and have sent a reference from my Secondary school (which I would choose over my college any day).
The fact that the set re-surfaced under the circumstances indicates that I may need further help sooner than expected.
After attempting to create an account, I entered my birthdate and other required details, however, it was neccesssary to create a master account. Therefore, with my father's help I entered mty father's details and set the online ID as 'MOWHAWK06'- a title my father uses when creatinggame profiles(assuming I would be able to create a second account titled 'Azure_Valkyrie', as a sub-account). However this was not the case, as such my PSN ID is 'MOWHAWK06'. Could anyone offer a solution as to how I could use PSN using an account titled 'Azure_Valkyrie', while retaining the Trophies associated with my profile? A solution considered was to transfer the profile to a seconnd PS3 (though an External hard drive), then create another PSN account on the second PS3. This isn't a major problem, but I wished to use Azure_Valkyrie as my PSN ID for easy identification by other users whom a I may have met outside of GS.
On a different note, my friend Kleeyook commented that I have already added him during my last blog entry. However, I have no players on my PSN friends list. Therefore it may be possible 'Azure_Valkyrie' is an ID already in use by another player. I suspect the player may be impersonating me, based upon the fact that Kleeyook stated the player has no Trophies, and that the player added Kleeyook very recently, around the same time I posted the blog. While Azure is a common title, Valkyrie is not, and the likelyhood of this player selecting (and finding) Kleeyook at random is very low. I ask that PSN players stay on the lookout for an 'Azure_Valkyrie' (or something similar).
During my online sessions thus far, I played NGS2with a relatively skilled Adam791, and played with a collection of 10 year-olds during cooperative COD:WAW games, and discovering that many players have no idea how to play. Some players insisted on running ahead, leaving plenty of enemy troops behind them, then expecting to be revived while surrounded by a minimum of six grenades.
If you would like to play, please remember I live in the UK, usually play on Thursday, Friday and weekends and while I have a mic. using it isn't ideal for reason stated in the previous entry. I will add your ID if you wish.
The correct router was purchased today, so I can connect to PSN. A headset featuring a mic was also purchased. However...
...I live in a flat, meaning that there are also residents living on the above floor. Therefore,I frequently play wearing a set of headphones to avoid disturbing the other residents. The mic is used purely for voice chat, and does not emit sounds from the in-game world. It would be difficult to wear both the headset and headphones, so it will be neccessary to use the TV speakers. This isn't ideal however, therefore can anyone suggest a solution?
I am aware that VERY expensive headsets are available which may be used for voice chat purposes and used for in-game audio.
An alternative is to limit hours of play using the headset to earlier hours of the day before the late evening.
On a different note all NGS2 costumes are unlocked and Operation Flashpoint is hard. :P
Completed NGS2 on Mentor yesterday, and almost all costumes are unlocked. Chapter 15 took the longest, due to the mid-boss. :P
Today my father and I attempted to purchasea router to use for PSN, but it turns out the wrong router was purchased. When purchasing the router from the nearest Maplins branch, two Maplins clerks began arguing whether I was being sold the correct router for playing online. In the end, the manager said my father should contact Virgin Media and ask which router should be used.
When entering the nearest GAME branch, the clerks began arguing whether the router was the correct rourter as well, before I purchased Operation Flashpoint 2: Dragon Rising.
The router will be returned tomorrow to purchase a different router.
This entry is mainly a rant about my college.
The students are VERY ill-mannered, and rarely show any courtesy to one another or staff. On Monday, a fight nearly broke out between two groups of students in my class over someone giving someone else strange looks.
Students were issued a task to research and give a presentation regarding a game from a specific genre. My group was issued the RPG genre, but most of the members had never played an RPG, other than myself andone member. We agreed to research Fallout 3, but most members of the group decided to simply go to Uxbridge by bus, leaving myself and a student familiar only with shooters to create the presentation. Of course, I ended up making the presentation, and presenting it as well, though I did get praised by practically every person in the room, including the tutor who said it was "like watching a proffesional game presenter at E3". O.o
Prior to the presentation, it turned out that someone caught the group of students who left for Uxbridge, and so those same students assumed that another group within the class were responsible for informing the staff. Before long, one student decided to stand near the suspected group, which resulted in the following sitsuation...
Student1: Are you alright?
Student2: Yeah.
Student1: I asked becauseyou're just standing here.
Student2: Yeah, so what's wrong with that yo?
Student1: Um, what?
Student2: You're a snitch yeah?!
Student1: I'm a what?
Student2: You're a snitch bro'!
(the students and other students on the same table get into an argument about standing in the wrong places...)
Student3: Speak English!
Student2: Speak English?! Yeah bro', I'm speakin' English. There's something wrong with your ears bro'!
(the other students answer back, provoking the other student to launch a physical attack against one student, followed by his friends pulling him back down to prevent further attacks)
Student2: You're lucky this is college yo!
(5 minutes later)
(Student4 walks to student2)
Student4: Hey, um I'm sorry sbout my friend okay?
Student2: So why ain't your friend, like over here then?
Student4: Well, don't you think it's a bit intimidating?
Student2, 5 and 6: No. Why?
Student4: You are all dressed in hoods and together in a corner.
Student2: Yeah, and what about it bro'? That's our style yeah, so don't go like telling us what to do yeah?!
Student4: No one's telling you what to do.
Student2: Yes you are bro'.
student4: No, I'm not.
(another argument follows here)
Student2: Listen, I used to be into the kind of thing you're into, with like gangsters and had the same interests as you. But now, that's in my past, because it's pointless.
(insert more arguing here)
(the tutor enters the room - 10 minutes after he was supposed to)
Tutor: Everything okay?
Everyone else: ...
Student1: We made some friends...
Student2: Yeah we made some friends, innit' bro'?
...
When fellow students address me, they often speak very politley and do so with genuinity. Unlike times during which they are addressing one another, as shown above...
Some users may be familiar with nappan, a user who is present on my friends list. It turns out that nappan's lack of activity was caused by the fact he was banned, though I don't knowwhen or the reasons for the ban. I found this out only a few minutes ago, so I apologise if you are already aware.
This is very unfortunate, and I believe nappan is the third user from my friends list to be banned. Based upon nappan's posts, he is a very intelligent user, who possesses a wide vocabulary and strong communication skills.
I am very sorry to hearnappan was banned, and hope my otherfriends do not leave Gamespot in this fashion too.
I have been assigned a college assignment which requires students to conduct a survey to determine one's preferences regarding video games, as well to determine which types of games they hold the greatest interest in.
I have been granted permission by moderator spazzx625 to post a questionnaire as part of the survey on my blog. You may confirm this by viewing this thread and the below link, leading to a screenshot of the PM in which permission was issued.

If you could please answer the below questions, I would very grateful as it will help with my assignment.
Please note this info will not be used for any other purpose than the assignment, which is to ultimately develop a commercially suitable game, through the use of modelling software, creation of concept art and storyboards, audio production and determining the preferences of players by conducting research through various means, including this questionnaire. I am aware that this is a site devoted to news updates regarding games and the games industry, and as such, the questionnaire will need to be posted elsewhere as well to produce a result that includes a wide variety of players, including those who are unfamiliar with games.

I haven't completed Mentor03 yet, but may be able to acquire PSN soon, and may be able to complete the mission with a player-controlled partner.
On a different note, I have a college assignment which requires me to conduct research through the use of asurvey. This is not an online survey. I have been issued permission from a moderator to posta questionnaire on my blog. But I'm short on people to answer the questionnaire, so anyone willing to answer the questionnaire would be a great help to me.:) An error prevented me from posting it previously, the questionnaire will be posted on my next blog.
