Stupid logic. What a studio made in the past has no bearing to the quality it churns out in the present. Current games dictate what a studio can do here and now, not a game they made 5-10 years back. That's why future Halo games look to be trash.

PCGamingIsOver

HOW IS AN 87 METACRITIC AND 8 MILLION COPIES SOLD TRASH!? What world do you live in where 8 million copies of anything sold is trash? haha not to mention averaging 9/10 with critics to include on this very website "Editor's Choice"

ahahahahahahaha... So in your mind, sales are the end-all-be-all, correct? So why don't you prefer the PS4 then? PS4 software sales are crushing Xbox ONE software sales.

sales of a MULTI player driven game are important because its MULTI player. and the only reason PS4 is crushing the xbox is because they stepped on their d*** with DRM and how are sales end all be all when ive already said it got great scores. Look 360 nearly won this gen if they didn't already with red ring of death, lesser specs, and PS3 was touted as being the cheapest blu ray player. no one will remember all those hiccups a month after launch, and people are holding out right now to see what the final package will be.

Yeah, because every contract is the same, right?

Perech logic is even worse than women logic.

SONY paid full price for Naughty Dog. Naughty Dog is wholly-owned by SONY.

ICE Team[edit source | editbeta]

In addition, Naughty Dog is home to the ICE Team, one of Sony's World Wide Studios central technology groups. The term ICE originally stands for Initiative for a Common Engine which describes the original purpose of the studio.[9]The ICE Team focuses on creating core graphics technologies for Sony's worldwide first party published titles, including low level game engine components, graphics processing pipelines, supporting tools, and graphics profiling and debugging tools. The ICE Team also supports third party developers with a suite of engine components, and a graphics analysis, profiling, and debugging tool for the RSX. Both enable developers to get better performance out ofPlayStation hardwares.[10][11]

There is no time-limit. Naughty Dog will be part of SONY unless SONY sells the studio.

You know there's something called free will, and these people don't work in sweatshops and can leave and start developing on their own if they so chose? Look at infinity ward, half of them are with new devs after the activision acquistion and deving on titanfall.

SONY lets Naughty Dog do whatever they want and they get paid nicely. There's no reason for them to leave.

you can never have too much money.

Yeah, a "contract"... a "contract" that states that SONY is the sole owner of Naughty Dog and all of its IPs.

SONY bought out the studio in full, you moron. You don't buy your phone for full price just to rent it for 2 or 3 years... If you paid full price and it's your forever.

PCGamingIsOver

Hey jackass...MS owned everything Bungie made for them...but once the contract ran out, they decided to leave and were forced to leave behind their ip. This will happen with ND too unless if ND decides to sign another contract which in these times will be idiotic. You clearly don't understand anything at all about how business works and how companies work with contractual agreements. If Bungie can leave MS then of course ND can leave Sony. Sony did not create ND as a company... get it through your thick skull.

But it's Microsoft's best series... What does it say about a company's IP catalog if its best franchise is a single A piece of shit?

PCGamingIsOver

I feel like calling a series with 5 main entries garnering with the lowest score an 87 a piece of shit is an absurd statement when your first beloved uncharted got an 88. anything higher than an 85 on metacritic is a very good score.

You'd be foolish to think ND doesn't kick rocks at the end of that now that they have the clout they do in the game industry. And the ND IP's are virtually worthless compared to the Halo universe

I hope you realize the downward trajectory the Halo series has been on since its inception.

Halo - 97

Halo 2 - 95

Halo  3 - 94

Halo Reach - 91

Halo 4: 87

My prediction:

Halo 5: 83

Halo 6: 78

Halo 7: 75

PCGamingIsOver

You're acting like the sequel of a well established series doesn't usually end up in a downward spiral. Are you new to this world?

But it's Microsoft's best series... What does it say about a company's IP catalog if its best franchise is a single A piece of shit?

I feel like calling a series with 5 main entries with the lowest score an 87 a piece of shit is an absurd statement when your first beloved uncharted got an 88. anything higher than an 85 on metacritic is a very good score. And talking about microsoft selling bungie, they dont give a shit! they own the halo IP, their money child. Uncharted, last of us, killzone, little big planet, whatever you want hasn't come close to even so much as touching halo and they likely never will, why? because even after a decade they still out sell every title just mentioned.

[QUOTE="percech"][QUOTE="drakekratos"][QUOTE="percech"] I'm not so sure that was the reason. MS had 343 ready to pick up the scraps so I doubt they would force Bungie to continue to make Halo games. I just think Bungie wanted to make more money and be their own boss. Naughty Dog will come to that realization sooner than later.

Wishful thinking... They just released the 2013 Game of the Year "The Last of Us".... So while I'm playing that masterpiece, you can keep wishing Naughty Dog goes multiplat.

That's an idiotic statement. Like ND gives a shit about winning meaningless awards. it's all about the money and I'm almost sure of it that they are thinking of going multiplat soon. It's business, and the head of ND needs to think about the future of its company. TLOU didn't sell any near as much as it would have if it were to be multiplat. At least Halo 4 sold 8 million copies.

not to mention i dont think sony has big enough pockets to match the profits they've been missing out with potential 360 sales and now that the one has closed the technical gap between the two there's even less reason. I'm not saying it'll never happen but shit you have sonic in mario games these days for christ's sake

[QUOTE="drakekratos"][QUOTE="BIGtex42"] The uncharted trilogy scored about the same on average as the gears trilogy, metal gear jumped ship, super meat boy is exclusive to xbox and scored the same, and forza has had 4 solid outings in the time it took GT to have one questionable one. Honestly i used to love playstation, ive owned 1, 2, and have a vita but every franchise that made me love it has either started making for both consoles (FF, GTA, MGS) or hasn't made a good game in nearly a decade (GT, FF) Its only a matter of time before naughty dog jumps ship since thats what pretty much all devs (bungie is deving games for PS now) do these days and thats all i feel i miss out on with PSPCGamingIsOver

LOL... Naughty Dog is owned and operated by Sony. They will never jump ship like Bungie did.

It's funny how how he's saying Naughty Dog games are the only thing he's missing out on when nothing on the Xbox touches Naughty Dog. Halo... Halo is a AA franchise now that's bound to get a 70 on metacritic by the end of this gen.

Look at Halo 4's low concurrent users. I think even Xbox fans would trade Halo for Naughty Dog in a heartbeat.

So you have a crystal ball now saying they'll be bringing in 70's? newsflash, it hasn't received under a 90 in 12 years! to include a title under the new 343 studio's belt. Naughty dog games a great games, there's no denying that, but to say that halo is going to go belly up soon is foolish.

Bungie studios was owned by microsoft for 7 years... your point? You act like they're loyalties in business that can't be broken ever or something but if the money's right they'll jump ship or do whatever they want.

[QUOTE="BIGtex42"][QUOTE="FreedomFreeLife"]Who cares? You care, because when you already saying: Killzone is a joke franchise, then this means you already attacking it which means you Xbone or NintendoFLOP fanboy.

So, you lost !

drakekratos
I'm not attacking, Its a fact that halo has scored better with critics in every outing than killzone (reference metacritic) not to mention has had a way better online community with better servers. So i would think by playing better games i wouldn't be "losing"
