If you look at their TGS line up, most of the stuff is on DS and mobile phones. They may have jumped into bed with Sony last gen, but DS is now their main port of call. They go where the money is, simple as that.
Imo, Square Enix are not what they used to be, most of the talent from Square left along time ago, Enix are still doing ok, but Square haven't released a good game imo since FFX.
Then you would think it would have been the major factor in the rise of the video game market, but it hasn't.Consoles and hand-helds have. Not PC. So stop with the PC has won every generation,it's won nothing.Hermits should be kneeling at the feet of console gamer and kissing their toes for making it possible for them to still have games to play. Without consoles, gaming would be dead a long time ago.
Now go back to playing Starcraft for the next 50 years.
All I know is that I'm playing Bioshock now, Halo 3 in a couple weeks, and COD4 in October, all on my 360. Life as a gamer doesn't get any sweeter than this. System wars is and always has been pointless, it changes nothing. Since the new review system came in system wars lost most of its fun factor. Enjoy arguing about nothing, I've got games to play.
That first picture is concept art, Epic done the same thing with Gears of war, release screen shots mixed in with concept art. It looks nothing like in game or other UT pics, more like a drawing.

I consider myself a hermit but I also game on console because there are some good console games and imo if your a gamer the platform should not limit you. The reason we have system wars is some little kid living with mommy that can't fund their own gaming hobby and only has one platform is bashing the others mommy did not provide them with.
