Having clicking in analog sticks, does that mean that they'll probably allow less Classic Controller compatability considering it means that the CC now has two less buttons than the Wii U tablet? Oh my goodness I love my gold CC pro, but seriously so few games (ESPECIALLY NSMB,DKCR,KRTD) actually use it...I mean come on more third party platformers (Rayman, Sonic Colors) allow it than first party ones.

You really want to argue how brand recognition helps a product?
But look at the 3DS, one of it's problems was (and still is) that many casual gamers didn't understand that it was a completely new system that was more powerful and had it's own unique games, most just thought it was a standard DS with an option to play in 3D, same is likely to happen with the Wii U, remember at E3 last year, even some of the hardcore fans took a while to realize it was more than just a new controller. The other problem is that while the Wii brand is recognizable, it's often done for the very things that the WiiU is trying not to be, a casual system. You here Wii and you instantly think of games like Wii Sports and Wii Fit, yet the Wii U is getting a lot more in the way of hardcore titles, but keeping the Wii brand will cause a lot of people to not look past that and not give the system a chance. Honestly they should have a fresh start with this new system name wise, people will still see the Nintendo logo and know if they want to buy it or not, but dropping Wii from the name will give it a much better chance.
Thank you :)Nintendo 64 ---> Nintendo Gamecube, it's been done before.[QUOTE="Bad-School-Girl"][QUOTE="Jaysonguy"]
So wait, you want to take the Wii name that has worldwide recognition and abandon it for something no one's heard before?
I'll be honest, I think that is a terrible idea.

Yeah, and when they did that it helped sales decline by 35%
You're not making a strong argument
Okay, cool.[QUOTE="Bad-School-Girl"]
It doesn't matter how you slice it, the Wii U is a bad name for a console. It makes it seem like the Wii 1.5, and it doesn't even sound cool (not saying that Wii sounded cool in the first place, but the U just makes it even worse). Now in no way is name effecting MY purchase of the console, they could name their console AiiDS and I would buy it. The concept name for the wii "Nintendo Revolution" should really be used for this, or one of their next consoles. I'm well aware that this console will be much less of a "revolution" to gaming than the Wii will be (from what I can tell), but really, Wii U just doesn't sound like a new console. It's like having a Gamecube U or a NES U.
