@c_rake It would hurt not to have it. I know a lot of people who share my opinion, and they wouldn't be happy with it. However, if we had more scores then people who don't want the decimals at all could still rate their games that way - while everyone else could use other scores. ;)
Bamul's forum posts
@GabuEx Of course some people would prefer the 0.5 system... but would it hurt having the old one as an option? I mean, I don't want the sub-ratings either, I just want the 0.1 increment. Even if people prefer the 0.5 increment reviewing system, the other one could be an option - that way everyone stays happy and gets what they want. :)
Before you read this, please note that this is not a demand or a request but a suggestion. I remember when GameSpot used to rate games with more scores (using the 0.1 increment method) andusers had the same options. But ever since the increment changed to 0.5, the ratings have been simplified. Of course it is completely up to the GameSpot staff, edtors and reviewers to decide how they rate games. On the other hand, why did users lose the feature? I would love to be able to review games and give them scores like 7.7 or 9.3. But at this moment I can't. :( I made this topic a poll to convince the GS staff that maybe something could be done. :)
Thanks in advance for any replies, support from otherusers in this matterand actions taken due to this topic. :D
^Oh god, please no! :P
^Well I don't care if you think it is pointless or whatever. I asked for support and either expected the issue being sorted out or being informed that nothing can be done. Also, you've just proved my point right (if it was you) by deleting my comment and moderating me. I see no point in removing that comment because it did not offend anyone and the word used wasn't aimed at anyone but me. However, I can understand that this site has rules and you gotta follow them - so does everyone else if they want to use its features. Nonetheless, I still thank you for responding. ;)
I had a brilliant union some time ago but it went dead after two years. I deleted it. Since then, I regret my choice. A month ago (8th October 2010), I decided to form a new union and make sure I didn't make the same mistakes that I did last time. If I am correct, I should be taken back to step two of the union creation process after seven days (if not all of the potential charter members accept). Well, only two out of the four people invited accepted in this case and I'm pretty sure that a month is much more than seven days so I don't know what is going on. So here I am, asking for help. My new union was called The GameSpot Junkies but I recently changed the details (including the title, so now it is called The Unity). Any help, support or any steps taken to get this issue sorted out would be welcome. Thanks for reading.
I'll just post what Boubou just posted on the Fuse Beta board, emphasis mine, [QUOTE="Boubou"] Some answers to your questions: The achievement data should now be accurate Raptr does not support secret achievements anymore, so don't be surprised to see your total number of achievements drop (not your achievements total) The PS3 trophies tab on the profile page is in the works and should go live soon If you are missing achievements for games you recently played, give it some time as it might still be in the queue. Thanks! Boubou dab198Shouldn't be long now..
Question is, how long is soon? :P
I wonder if any GS staff members actually have a look at this and do something about it, but I guess not because we're the minority - the minority is usually ignored.
I completely agree and am in support of this! I don't get it why GS haven't done it yet. Xbox LIVE gamercards show up, but just the PSN ID for us PlayStation 3 gamers is supposed to be enough. Also, a trophy tab is needed too like many people here said!. Right now, I feel like it is simply favouritism to the Xbox 360. I can respect the fact that the Xbox came out one year (two years in some areas) earlier than the PS3 and many people stuck to that and ignored another expensive next-gen console, so why can't GameSpot respect our opinions. WE arePS3 gamers, we're happy with what we got and don't plan on getting Xboxes any time soon- so why the hell are we being treated inequally to 360 owners?! :x
