Hi everyone! Sorry that I haven't posted in such a long time; ever since I finished playing Mass Effect 2, I just moved on to other forums on GameSpot and beyond - related to other games I played after. I've also been quite busy with studying and more reviewing. So, I came back and I'll try to stay for a while longer. After all, this is a great time to discuss Mass Effect since the release of ME3 is getting closer and closer.

Anyway, moving on to the exact topic of this thread. :P I recently downloaded, installed and completed "Lair of the Shadow Broker" for Mass Effect 2. SPOILERS AHEAD: I romanced Miranda shortly after I got the game two years ago, and Liara obviously mentioned that at some point in our heated conversation in the DLC. However, after completing the whole mission (and reading all that interesting info at the Shadow Broker's ship), we got together in the end and I convinced her to come up to the captain's cabin on the Normandy, Overall, I think I did everything right and gave my Shepard a proper reunion with his blue friend, but I'm still a bit worried about what she said earlier. So I decided to go to Miranda and basically broke up with her (I also did the same to the relationship I was starting to have with Tali - just in case). END OF SPOILERS

So, after all this, do you think Liara will still be angry at me in Mass Effect 3 or not? As much as I like both Miranda and Tali, Liara is the first character Shepard romanced in my playthrough of the first Mass Effect and I like her as a character more than the other two. It would suck if I had to lose her now. :x

Thanks for the emblem. not quite the Top 100 I was aiming for, but it still means a lot to me to be one of the top 500 reviewers on GameSpot. Once again, thanks for taking your time to go through and read my reviews; I appreciate it. :)

I know, I had to take a trip in The Way-back Machine to find this thread but forgive me; the topic just looks like fun!

My Shepard's Condo? Alright, my Shepard has been career military most of his life but life in the armed forces isn't the only thing that defines him. So when he does get those rare moments when he's not saving the galaxy from imminent destruction and can "go home" he heads to a place where he can relax and connect with his other interests.

Shepard is a builder/fixer. He's good with his hands and likes to restore old machines called motorcycles. He's got a place on Earth, in the outskirts of The Twin Cities. The neighborhood is a bit industrial and his home doesn't look like much to the passer-by, an old converted garage, but inside, the comfortable mismatching furniture, collection of old signage covering the walls and industrial kitchen are just what he needs to feel at home. The best part is the neighbors, Alex and Marta. Happily retired, they watch over Shepard's place while he's away. When he comes back Alex is a great help with the motorcycle and Marta continues their lessons in Shepard's other passion, cooking.

It couldn't be any more different than his life as a Spectre in the farthest ends of the galaxy but that's just how he likes it.

This is both awesome and funny. :P

And I thought that they couldn't make Ashley any uglier... guess I was wrong. :x None of them look original, Kaidan looks alright and so does Vega. Liara too, but she's lost her "young" look and now looks like one of those thousand year old asari. Well, I'm glad I won't be getting the CE then. :)

I'd love to play some online co-op in the Mass Effect universe.

Wish I could get this, looks so awesome. Sadly I don't have the money to go out buying special edtions of anything... damn, I just realized that I've never even pre-ordered a game. :x Well, who knows. After all, it'll be released in 2012 so maybe I could just put away a little bit of money each month... hehe. :P

Yes, it was, but the games have a completely unique storyline and take place after the events of the novels. :)

Pretty devastated when I saw it. Guess it goes to show, nothing is sacred on the internet :P
Also just goes to show how others love Lone_Warrior's sweet work!

caityful

My brother found his art once on another website - another good reason to always put your name on your work. :P

Anyway, this is the main reason why I came here: I was directed to come here when posting a thread for this:

"I would really love to recommend this amazing blog by adam1808. It is a very interesting post and can spark many interesting discussions... I suggest all Mass Effect fans go there and check it out. "

Now that blog I posted a link to has been finished and you can read the answers it got here. It's pretty awesome stuff and good if you like clever discussions about improvements/progress from Mass Effect to Mass Effect 2. :)
