As a birthday present I gave to my mother a pink DS Lite. That was when it first came out. She has not stopped playing on it since and she'll go "red light" at least once a day. She'll play her DS in her room past midnight. The only things she'll play are Tetris, Sudoku, Crosswords and Solitaire but man, boy howdy, she plays them as if it was the last time she'll play a game ever.

Oh, and she cleared Mario vs DK: March of the Minis almost within the first week: all silver and golds.

Okay, HERE is where I should ask this!

//Which version of Super Street Fighter II Turbo is Most Regarded? //

I never got to play the '94 masterpiece at my arcade! :o

I had played Super to death but then my arcade just skipped to Alpha 1! Now with all these fun SF 4 matches under my belt, I thought it was high time to take... The Grand Master Challenge. The only standalone version is 3DO though. All non HD Remix versions are in compilations.

So out of:

Street Fighter Collection (PSX) Capcom Classics Collection 2 (PS2) Hyper Street Fighter II (PS2) and SSF2 HD REMIX (PSN/XBLA)

Which is the one you guys at GS recommend the most?

True story: When I was little (still in 5-6th Grade maybe) I was the BIGGEST Super SF2 fanboy on the block (almost everyone at my school liked Mortal Kombat) and I was SOOOO sad and jealous when I read the complete write up on Super Turbo in Gamepro Magazine. :cry:They had this huge spread of the large ending portraits of all the cast. I saw wild retakes of old moves (Dhalsim shooting a yoga flame UP INTO THE AIR?? Crazy!) I remember reading about Akuma's mysterious debut and what stuck with me the most is that I saw this curious new little mechanic where you can store energy up to unleash some kind of high powered version of a normal move. I distinctly remember that day thinking...what kinda crazy gimmick those Capcom people come up with now ? :P (Course I 'got it' when I played Alpha not too long after that)

I'd just thought I would catch an elusive part of my dreadfully normal childhood that I didn't get to experience. (Yeah, I still have that issue along with the Street Fighter 2 Collectors Edition Player's Guide. I just dug them out of my room when I cleaned up and that's why I decided to post this.)

Personally, a sword breaker short sword would be great. Have you seen them? It's a short sword with a forked edge and if the opponents sword gets caught in the forks the wielder would be able to shatter the other guys sword. (Assuming he was strong enough to twist it over.)

I agree. Sometimes a port will be the only way to play a certain title everyone else plays. What's with all the port hate round here?

Not making this up folks. Not even a joke but....

International Soprano Sarah Brightman is singing the ending theme to the 10th Pocket Monsters movie.

I like Sarah a lot. This is a HUGE shock to me. The song "Be With You: Itsumo Soba ni" (Always By Your Side) will also be on her new album later this year and will be a single released in conjunction with the movie in Japan. This is...wow. A shock.

What's next: Maya Angelou for Butterfinger?

Take Two seems to really be sold on the Wii as they are putting some of their games on it. Maybe they'll explore putting a GTA game for the console too.
