My 27" TV is several years old, so the enhanced definition options available on either versions of the game are not deciding factors for me, but thanks anyway.

I've read reviews of the browser that's already available in Japan and Europe (almost certainly the one we'll get too) and everyone says that the connection is so slow it's not really worth buying it.

First off, DO NOT BUY ELF BOWLING.

Secondly, you should realize that good story and Wifi don't really go hand in hand.

Hotel Dusk has a great story, if you don't mind a more relaxed game. Just don't expect it to get your blood going like a true action game.

RPGs like Final Fantasy III probably have good stories too although they can also be too difficult for some players' likings.

As for Wifi, look to games with a large following, so that you can find many opponents quickly and easily. The games with the most online players seem to be Mario Kart, Metroid Prime, Tetris, and a few others. What you need to beware of are games lke Clubhouse games, because while it still has a pretty good online mode, you can only find opponents regularly for about 10 of its 35 wifi games, simply because not enough people want to play games like chinese checkers or hangman for oppenents to pair up.

 good luck!

clubhouse games is great for anyone.

Hotel Dusk is an interactive, noir-style mystery game I just picked up. It really makes you think. So if she's that type of girl ...

Mario Kart DS is also good fun

It's still going to be at least a month before I get a Wii, if I get one at all, and I'm wondering if I should just get Twilight Princess for my gamecube instead. Opinions?

For anyone who cares, I've ended up getting Hotel Dusk: Room 215. From reviews I've read, the main complaint about the game is that it's too slow, but since I'll be on an airplane for 12 hours, I figure time isn't exactly of the essence.
