You need to stop playing games and learn that assumptions, not logic, rules the world.

Nobody is playing games. This is a debate. Debates have pretty obvious rules... Using evidence, for one.

Also, learn to post your response outside of the quote chain, idiot.

This isn't an academic debate. Hardcore evidence has no place here. The topological structure of earth is science. We're talking about Psychology/Sociology - 2 fields that have anything to do with logic and mathematics.

We are allowed to make as many assumptions as we want as long as the assumptions are obvious.

...We're talking about video games here. You may be on the wrong board...

We're talking about how gamers act when their game session crashes on them. Is that not somewhat related to Psychology?

This isn't an academic debate. Hardcore evidence has no place here. The topological structure of earth is science. We're talking about something that borders on Psychology/Sociology - 2 fields that have nothing to do with logic and mathematics.

We are allowed to make as many assumptions as we want as long as the assumptions are obvious. You know that the assumptions are trivially true based on your social skills.

No. All you've shown so far is that when your wife/girlfriend says "I don't really like diamonds", you actually think she doesn't like diamonds (AKA Lack of social skills).

You need to stop playing games and learn that assumptions, not logic, rules the world.

What?

In a debate, you need proof. This is a debate, shitstain.

Nobody gives a shit about logic in the real world and this is coming from a math major, the most logically-intensive subject in the world.

Our lives revolve around making predictions using scarce evidence. I'm not the dumbass who has taken some elementary logic class and is trying to apply said "techniques" into real-world scenarios.

Riiiiight. Provide evidence that nobody cares. As a math major, you typically need to provide your proof, correct?

Elementary logic class? You mean the one that is schooling you? How embarassing. lol.

How low are your social skills? It's obvious that in the statement I made, "nobody" means most people. A f*cking 5-year-old would have understood that hyperbole. Again, I just further demonstrated that prediction is more important concrete evidence. There is no concrete evidence that I used the term "nobody" as a exaggeration, but anyone would have predicted that I wasn't using the term literally. Do you get it now? Stop using precise logic to form your answers. You're not impressing anyone and that post you just made made you look like a socially-inept moron.

We're not in an academic environment, dumbass. When assumptions are obvious, we can use it as a fact without any proof.

Dude calm down. You're not impressing anyone and that post you just made made you look like a socially-inept moron.

I'm still lol'ing at you thinking your logic is going to take you places in life.

Social skills (AKA Making predictions without any evidence) is more important than logic.

Man, you are a special kind of dumbass

I work in a field where drawing logical conclusions based on evidence and observation is important.

Whatever you're doing, I'm sure that my work is far harder than yours.

Apparently we can simply make predictions, and use them as fact? Without any further outline, can I presume the Earth is flat, solely because the horizon appears to be flat? Or, would I require evidence to prove/disprove that?

Nice. Epic way to display your lack of communication skills.

I can tell you have a hard time talking with the average schmoo down the street.

My debate skills are pretty good. Assertions on either side, require evidence. End of story.

I'm not the one using Argumentum ad Ignorantiam, dumbass. It's a logical fallacy, and you are using it. lol.

Stop pulling academics into this. You don't need concrete evidence in order to know something is true when it's so obvious, just like when your wife flirts with your neighbor. You don't need undeniable evidence to know she's cheating on you.

Only people who have crashes report problems. Those who don't don't report. Very simple to understand.

Stop using a fallacious argument. Argumentum ad Ignorantiam, you fucking idiot.

Hey, i'm not the one bringing up my education... lol...

Weren't you the one who said they wanted to work for NASA? So, do NASA just take rough estimates when planning a mission or do they go through all the logical processes necessary to make it go off without a hitch?

Most people don't do the work that I do. If you want to debate logic and mathematics with me, fine, but we're not in an environment where rigor and precision are mandatory. This is a "social setting" in which we can make obvious predictions and use them as facts. Read my post about "nobody" above.

No, we can safely assume that anyone who crashes frequently will report the problem as the process is quite simply and not time-consuming. What's the stop them from filing a ticket?

Thus, anyone who didn't report any issues isn't crashing.

No, we cannot. That is a logical fallacy.

It's the very f*cking definition of an argument from ignorance... Something is not true, simply because there is no evidence to the contrary. Seriously, do you use this in your elite Post-Sec education? If so, you are a f*cking idiot.

yeah...holy crap. That was like the worst logic i've ever seen, and that's saying something for SW

I was like you when I was younger.

You're never going to get places in life by being a "logical person". Sometimes, you just have to know what to assume even if concrete evidence isn't there.

Obama is a Socialist and I called him out back in '07. "BU...BU... NO HARDCORE EVIDENCE!!!"

Yeah, now look at Obamacare.
