So it would be standardized just like a console, but it would be a gaming PC. That would stop all this "system requirements" nonsense, and games could be optimized for it. Not THAT is a good idea!!

Any ideas on who should make it, and what it should be called?

And here's why:

• Compatibility problems
• Patches, patches, and more patches
• Building or buying a gaming PC is very expensive compared to consoles
• Upgrading the graphics card every few years can be expensive
• Graphics are not consistently good for games.....one game has awesome graphics.....the next one has graphics from 1995
• Framerate problems for many games
• Playing games with a keyboard is not as good as a true gaming controller........yes you can use a gaming controller on PC as well, but it never seems to work quite as well as it does on a console

Consoles seem to be the only logical choice for video games.

Way too many first person shooters on the 360. Not nearly enough variety.

Gears of War has better graphics. Let's just admit this.
