@tomservo51 @Bayonetta2013 Now you do. I gamed primarily on my X360, so from that I knew plenty of people who never had a problem. And I even got mine free with my Dell PC. I was expecting it to die years ago.
Never had a RROD. Ever. Now, my PS3 kicked the bucket a week before Journey came out last year (fucking hell, that ticked me off) but it was an old launch model. I doubt we'll have any problems with the PS4 and XONE.
@Howard Zhihao Wen Battlefield 4: We have the greatest physics engine in the FPS genre, look at this HUGE-ASS skyscraper collapsing. Guess what, you can do that as MUCH as you want. Jump out of helicopters, invade a massive city, whatever.
You know, I hate the Call of Duty series. I really do. Because it has brainwashed a lot of people into thinking that Call of Duty is all that matters in the gaming world. It's created the stereotype that all gamers are nothing but bloodthirsty, stupid COD players. And sure, that pisses me off. I don't want to be associated with the COD franchise, and I wish it didn't exist.
BUT. Like this video says, there's no denying what COD has innovated for its OWN GENRE. We may not like COD (some of us, I mean), but I can at least appreciate what COD has done for the FPS genre. As far as it goes for my favorite action, JRPGs, and platformers and how COD compares, COD can slap itself. But I will admit that I have at least a tiny bit of appreciation for the fact that it did change online multiplayer...everything.
Still doesn't make me hate it less. Now back to my crumpets.
@Verenti @Bayonetta2013 When you generally write "videogames represent..." yada yada, then that can be assumed to be a generalization. That's just how I read it.
