Why have them at all? Real men use their fists :) If its for home defence, i suggest the crims wait until homeowners all kill themselves/each other then then can steal all the possessions (and the precious gun/s as well) I don't get why guns are even necessary in a household and why would you show your kids at such an early age how to use it? Good to know there are so many qualified psycologists in here.... The fact is, kids do stupid things. Its the job of a parent to make sure these things are out of reach. Teaching a 9 year old kid to load a gun (or an 11 year old for that matter) doesnt mean they will fully understand just how dangerous it is until an accident like this happens. I dont think anyone here knows the kid well enough to claim he was a sociopath. Bazfrag
As I said, hiding one would just drive a childs curiosity straight up to the heavens resulting in irresponsibility if he, God forbid, ever came across it.. If the kid was taught how to shoot it, he obviously was given lessons on how to be responsible with it. The fact is, he wasn't responsible, because he has serious issues, despite being taught how to use one. Any sane person would know after lessons how to use a gun responsibly.So your saying if the gun wasn't there, he would have stabbed/bludgeoned/choked his brother to death anyway?? How do you know for sure?
