Well, tried out the new game; Codename: Panzers Phase One and so far I'm enjoying it. Never was very big on RTS/RPG games, but this one has caught my attention. I'm a fan of the WW2/Vietnam/war-affiliated games obviously, so this one had some game content and/or story that appeals to me. So far the graphics look pretty nice, control & movement isn't too bad. Good gameplay that has a nice level of difficulty, and the environment in which the game/battles are played in is appropriately fitting and visually pleasant. I plan on continuing this game until I finish it.

The last few games I've played have been pretty well-rounded. Some were better than others, some demos, etc. ================================================================= Call of Duty: United Offensive ================================================================= Excellent expansion for the popular title Call of Duty. The only thing I didn't care for ...AGAIN, is that this expansion was short just like the original game. I beat it over a 2 day period of about 12 hrs total gameplay I figure. Just way too short. The graphics & audio were just as impressive as the original, gameplay was heavy and worthwhile. The storyline was good as well and followed the same line of plot that the original did, so it flowed together so to say. All in all, a very good expansion, just too short. ================================================================= Tribes Vengeance Multiplayer Demo ================================================================= A very fun demo indeed. It's nice too that they supplied 3 or 4 maps to play on in this demo. The graphics and audio are really nice. Physics and gameplay is entertaining. The one gripe I have is the vehicle stations. Not sure if this is just for the MP demo, but it's a bad move if they did in fact take out the vehicle choice pads (the pads you walked onto in Tribes 2 to CHOOSE what vehicle you wanted spawned). If they took that out in the full version of this game, I myself will be highly dissappointed. No one wants to wait around for the next vehicle to spawn; leaving themselves out in the open as an easy target for enemies. So I pray that this setup was just for the MP demo, and the full version does include the vehicle spawn menu to choose which one you want. If not, then that's a bad move on the developers, and I'm sure they'll see/read a LOT of griping about it no doubt. ================================================================= Current Favorite Game: Battlefield 1942 + Desert Combat Mod ================================================================= This game & mod have currently been my favorite choice of game for quite some time now. Since the release of the Battlefield 1942 game, the updates have been concise and worthwhile. Eventually leading up to a stable, well-running online gaming experience. I anxiously await Battlefield 2 as well. The fact that the Trauma Studios team (developers of the Desert Combat Mod) worked with DICE/Digital Illusions on this upcoming sequel game, makes me the anticipation swell even more. Recent videos available here at Gamespot as well as other places around the web, have shown this to be quite an improvement on graphics, physics, gameplay, and realism. Sad thing is, my current ancient PC system will most likely not be able to run Battlefield 2 I assume. I definitely need a new PC before that game is released. A new pc would also increase my gaming fulfillment with Battlefield 1942 & DC I am sure. I currently have to run BF1942 with all the graphics and audio settings set to low :(. Sucks, but at least I am able to play the game without issues on those settings. I can only imagine that a new PC will give me that full effect of both BF1942 and the upcoming Battlefield 2.
