@mirage_so3: Is your problem with the gift cards or with Microsoft themselves? So many companies have used gift card deals for thousands of products including Sony.
Again are you the only one that though the X1's price cut was permanent? Xbox One was originally 350 bucks before the price cut, raising the price would put the X1 at 400 bucks. Gift card system on the other hand has always worked the same way over time and across all products, you can only spend it in the store that gave it to you.
Temporary price cuts are just that...Temporary and the Xb1 was bound to go back to full price at some point.
Did you actually read the article? Where did it say that MS stores were the ones offering the deal??? -_-
