The team is definatly working on MGS5, as Kojima said it "maybe" announced at E3. So they don't have the manpower to do both at once, looks like 360 only owners miss out on the greatest game ever.
I hope not. After just literally finishing MGS4 no more than 20 minutes ago, I think it's time for the series to die. I mean there's really nothing left. 4 wrapped up the series so well, that another Metal Gear game will essentially be grabbing for whatever just to milk the franchise. Kojima needs to focus on soemthing else and let MG end. Perhaps a new IP, or revisiting one of his other IPs, such as Zone of the Enders. Metal Gear should end with MGS4. Besides I don't think I could sit through another confusing as all hell plot again.

Don't be Silly...MGS needs to continue, there is always room for improvement and story telling, the possibilities are endless. BTW, maybe instead of the series dying, its you that needs to let go and move on, MGS isn't your thing anymore, NO one is forcing you to play it. Yea, i'm sick of people saying " I don't want another one", well the rest of us do, he's right nobody's going to force you to play it.

I don't think the series needs to die, theres only been 4 canon games and they take place over 40 years so theres enought time for prequals and spin offs aswell as sequals. Snake is really underused he's only playable in 2 games and 30 min.
