Disappointment with Sonic's Ulitmate Genesis Collection

IF every Genesis game was 4 MB, it would be 200 MB to fill up 50 games. With MPEG4 AVC, you could fit all the videos on DVD. I can't tell you how I'm disappointed in it, because it would be 9.0/10 if Sonic CD, Shining Force CD, and SHMUPS and honorary developers Lunar 1/2 was on there. I paid $20 off Ebay for it.

Then I am greedy, I want way more than I am getting in this package and want emulated Saturn unlockables like Panzer Dragoon 1,2, Saga, Shining Force III, Shining Wisdom, Saturn Bomberman, Still less then a BD-25. All I say is fill her up pack full with data.

I can not put a score on it, it's probably a bizzare score and you'll laugh at it. Panzer Dragoon Saga is $300 on Ebay, and even though I own it, I hate hooking up saturn, play in emulator instead. That was long itme ago in 2007 before the offical recession.

$20 is chump change for me. I car pooled and saved $20 for this game. The case alone gives me elgerablibilty to fit in with the old school societies that meet game stores these days.

Diablo 3 should come with DirectX 11 texture pack

I remember downloading texture packs for Dungeon Siege and Elder Scrolls III which made the game look 18 months newer technology wise. DirectX 11 will be out in two monthsin a stable build. SDKs have been sent out a few months ago. Diablo 3 looks like it has such high production values for a DirectX 9 PC game that Diablo 3 should have texture upgrade on a CD in a 7zip executable. It wouldn't look so outdated then. Texture packs don't bring bugs to the game.

Are we coming or going? | N64 games I should have owned

Well, just ordered 4 GB PC6400 DDR2 for the good old QX6700 Systemax PC I own. Performance improved notically. Yes, I own Windows 7 RC, but have been too lasy to install it. I cracked it even. Why do people contradict themselves in this way? Fashion. I walk around and people say generally that they have no time for Xbox 360, but at the same time Game Stop is making a ton of money and the mom and pop stores are in business. Not only that, but why is Prototype and not Secret of Monkey Island SE or BlazBlue Clamity Trigger on top of everybody's list? Those are better games. In my opinion, Prototype is a Spiderman clone [with an anti-hero] and we all know how average those games can be. I'm pretty smart, I have a GPA avg of 3.87 (associate degree) when I graduated from Rasmussen College. We live in a upside down world right now, its a liberal world I mean. If it was a conservative world, it would be right side up. I'll be upfront. Can't find anybody who'll really like anime fighters or RPGs. Oh yeah, I am playing Sims 3, and Blazblue Claimity Trigger. It's not a bad game and I'm am only an expert at Dreamcast 2D fighters such as MvC2, MvC, Alpha 3, and Mark of the Wolves. I use to kick serious butt in my teens on those games. I bought Capcom vs. SNK for $20!

Due to the fact that I am no expert at the 16-bit generation which basicaly leaves N64 as the lone console I haven't explored thoughally, here are some games I should have bought.

a.) San Francisco Rush - rented it at Mr. Movies 10 times, and payed the rental store. It was a hardcore game also.

b.) Jet Force Gemini - never played this hardcore Rareware game! Reader reviewers which had the most karma gave it a 10 for some reason. Is it another Gunstar Heroes in 3D? I though so.

c.) Duke Nukem 64 - never played Duke Nukem, what kind of gamer was i? Now 3D Realms is out of business. Duke lives in our memories as the Bisexual, ex-Navy Seals, redneck with big biceps we all know and love.

d.) Madden NFL 2000 - never played Football in the 1990s

The Midwest should have its own Giant Robot.

They should put this thing on top of the tallest skyscraper in Minnapolis so everybody can see it clearly. It's better than that spoon and apple at the Minnapolis Museum of Arts. You could take all the dumb stimilious funds and reroute it to making a replica of this, and at least you can enjoy it everytime anyone goes to Minneapolis on the freeway. It could start Robot building syndrome where a dozen cities does it for humor sake. What better way to spend stimulious money rather than the 100s of more pointless ideas. Probably takes only FOUR million to build too. That's chump change!

I thought you want to comment on the anticipated list.

This blog is more for me to see whats coming out for the rest of the year i'm interested in mainly using Play.coms release list and Gamespots so it most likely won't be accurate:

July

BlazBlue: Calamity Trigger - It's like Guilty Gear XX Accent Core Plus for PS3.

October (Q3)

- Secret of Monkey Island: SE (PC) *DOWNLOADED on July 21st. Burnt ISO onto DVD. Only 1.3 GB. Very good game..about a 8 out of 10.

November

-God of War 3

2010 TBA

Final Fantasy XIII

Final Fantasy Vs. XIII

Diablo 3

Super Mario Galaxy 2

I hate Little Big Planet, it might be clever, but it is not my type and the corna thing is overrated. I can't even do multiplayer Wart off the devil once daily. Like I said, I'm benchmarking a meager spending until Xbox 720 or PS4 comes out. BlazBlue recently recieved a 9.4 on IGN PS3. I could spend 2x more, but with the 4 trillion Al Gore BTU bill (tax and trade or "Green hell") about to pass thru Senate, 2T healthcare reform (installed until hell freezes over) and Congress reimbursing bankrupt California, I may have to save for emergencies and what not.

Secret of Monkey Island Special Edition

I completely ignored Secret of Monkey Island in my youth, because I wasn't into adventure games at all. On the way to school one day, we were talking about whether or not navels affect my thinking and if I was inapproproately addicted to it, but my consoler who was in control of my life. There was soft fascism and anarchy in my high school. The consuler told that his brother worked at Lucas Arts on Monkey Island 2 in 2002. Finally, in December 2008, I downloaded the sucker [and prequel] and played thru it. I played thru the second completely and way to obsolete for me, but I barely made it to the end in hope for bragging rights. And this remake is worth $20, it's like the Arcana Hearts or Guilty Gear XX Accent Core Plus where I can clearly see the characters in 2D. The 16-bit 2D games are too simple in comparision.

I know if Secret of Monkey Island SE came out for PS2, it would be a sleeper hit. As long as the cleverness is intact, Sony owners would buy it. It is nice to see some remakes of highly anticipated adventure games in the early 1990s such as the Circle of Blood for the Wii nobody thinks about UNTIL the remake is avaliable. CoB most definantly kickstarted this franchise reboot trend. I haven't played Circle of Blood, but it's likely that Lucas Arts SCRUMM games pwn Revolution Software's Circle of Blood.

The Amiga version of Secret of Monkey Island was game of the year in 1990, one of the top 2 games on LemonAmiga. The PC version used modems sounds, Amiga had a better soundtrack. I wouldn't bother playing something that old until a Special Edition comes out on free servers. Cleverness intact...good idea Lucas Arts. Now make a Indiana Jones 5 before Harrison passes over!

Okay, I am slowing down spending to meager passe UNTIL Xbox 720 comes out.

Cool ass logo I made

I am going to play with what I own, and then wait until the DirectX 11 games even though it'll be pass the 11 years of reaching the top of the mountain. Nobody really stops buying games, for me, just buy one game every 2 months instead of 4 every month.

I am not smart enough to know what I really, really want, but my best reasoning *as blind as I am* is to bold to let the recession affect me, yet the OpenGL2/DirectX 9 graphics are obsolete and therefore lets put a lid on it NOW, TODAY, PRESENT. I just got there and now it's down hill. However, I still want Final FAntasy XIII, Vs XIII , God of War III, Gears of War III, but nothing below 9.0 for certain and only the de facto 9.0/10. Gulity Gear XX Accent Core Plus will be my newest worse scored game June 27 to Xbox 720 generation. I will have 20 7.0 - 8.0 games to play and 380 8.0 - 9.0 games to play. Money is a little tight for my homies who live with me too. I am still an semi-talented network technican who just recently (less then 30 days) got off internship.

Playstation 5 uses 64-qubit/128-qubit CPU via IBM

MIT developed a 8-Qubit Quantum processor which is just like a old school 8-bit NES CPU in functionality. When do you think they'll get to 32-QuBit CPUs so we can run GUIs on them? I hope it's by 2019! Microsoft Windows 10 runs on 32-Qubit/64-Qubit CPU made by AMD and Intel. QRAM blueprints were invented in 2007! At least we know that bits in evolutionary theory still apply to Quantum computers. Rumor is that D-Wave Systems claims to have produced a 128 qubit computer chip D-Wave Systems claims to have produced a 128 qubit computer chip

New handhelds (DSi and PSGo) are stupid

I believe that the PS Go and DSi are stupid, because the games are a couple GB, and it will be like the Phantom console where nobody wants it due to the medicore graphics, gameplay and large burden on your DSL or satellite bandwidth cap. It's different than downloading illegal NES, SNES, Genesis, Sega CD, PS, PS2, GBA games. Those have comparably small downloads compared to this.

My theory is either manufacture is committing "a Sega Nomad" if they don't allow PSP and NDS be the primary platforms and distribute gaming media on a chip. It wasn't meant to be!
